Get over the fact that Ronaldo didn't want to play for the 2nd best team in the premier league.

When he was playing for them they were the best team? Were they not?

They were European Champions and lost out that year to one of the finest teams around.

He moved to the second best team in Spain.

In fairness without him they are the 2nd best team and before he got there I believe Chelsea had won the title twice in a row?

Well you're wrong there as Ronaldo was a United player from 2003

All your little digs are very immature tbh, if United are the 2nd best team without Ronaldo what the hell are Arsenal going to be without Fabregas? They only just managed third place this season so without him they're on track to finish at least 4th considering the points he won for you

None of that make any sense? Probably not but hey ho that's the argument you've chosen to bring to the table

You need to get over the fact that Fabregas doesn't want to play for the (only just) 3rd best team in the PL.

:p I was thinking of saying the exact same thing but I didn't want to annoy Killswitch anymore, think he is already getting pretty wound up lol. Seems a bit ironic for an Arsenal fan to be having a dig at United, the only fans that have the right to do that at the moment are Chelsea fans!!

im sure you can remember your last league title?

i know it was a while ago, but ronaldo came the season arsenal last won the league...so yes arguably we werent the number one...

and you can be the biggest club without actually winning the title...its called staying power. it is impossible for the biggest/best team of an era to win the league every year without fail, football doesnt work like that.

Arsenal when without Fabregas are a shadow of their normal selves. And to replace him properly they would need to spend all the money he was sold for, and more. There isn't a player on this earth that would be interested in joining Arsenal that can adequately replace him.

They need to hope he stays this season, and build a much more solid team rather than relying on him being there, ready for the season after where he will most likely leave.

So until he says he is leaving this summer / wants to leave this summer and until you get a direct quote from Fabregas explicitly stating that then you can just be quiet with the speculation.
Cesc Fabregas said:
Before I leave for the World Cup I want my future sorted out because it benefits nobody if I go into the tournament with something else on my mind.
What's interesting is if this was said before or after he signed his new contract with Arsenal, as I couldn't find a reference in the article.

Fabregas was 15 after he left Barca's youth system, has sparked a flurry of new rumours with his comments, which suggest he is considering quitting the Premier League.

'If I decide to leave Arsenal, it will be to wear the shirt of Barcelona. I don't know when this will happen though,' Fabregas told Spanish newspaper Marca.

'I want to make a decision about my future before the start of the World Cup. It's impossible to perform at a tournament like the World Cup if you're not fully focused on the sporting aspects of the game.

'I don't want to be distracted by transfer talk.'

Fabregas also admitted it would show 'a lack of respect' to discuss moving to Barcelona while the battle for Spain's Primera Liga title is ongoing, and he rejected talk of being little more than a pawn in the upcoming FC Barcelona presidential election.

'Barcelona are still playing for the Liga title and I'm still an Arsenal player,' he continued.

'No candidates for the Barcelona presidency have approached me, so I don't feel used.'

And the 2nd most important story of the days is Fergie not spending any money this summer....due to the fact that your current owners are so **** deep in debt you cant afford anyone:p:D

Now then who wants to discuss that as the whole Fabregas will he or wont he go is getting a tad boring especially when you have the clueless Tom84 talking as if he knows the insides of Arsenal and what exactly is going on along with his sidekick GIMP who cant resist a trolling comment here and there.

If Fabregas goes this summer then so be it...im sure Arsenal will survive without him...we have done so in the past when hes been injured so no biggie...just hope we get a lot of money for him simple as that.

Now is City going to become the biggest team in Manchester or not??...seeing as they will invariably spend money this summer...and if the rumours are true that Utd are not spending then what do we think will happen??...will Rooney be the next big name to go abroad or will he stay??...will Fergie still keep faith his OAP's ie Giggles and ginger nut Scholes??:p

Comments on a postcard please:D

I checked the date on when Fabregas said that and it falls around the 14th of May mark, so a good while after he signed his new contract. It seems fairly ridiculous for Gooners to whine all speculation is baseless and therefore verboten, as I would dare venture that the player himself explicitly inviting Barcelona to court him is a pretty substantial vindication of the speculation.

Not exactly whining...i just think a lot of Arsenal fans me included are getting fed up of the speculation and just want a straight answer either from Barca, Arsenal, Wenger and Fabregas.

Once we get a straight answer then i suppose we will either have to get used to Fab leaving us or enjoy another season of his skills. I personally dont blame the guy if he wants to leave as he wants to win things but we havent for awhile yet and nothing is guaranteed next season as so far we only signed Chamakh but that was a done deal back in Jan this yr...so future signings arent even known at this time.

Personally we will suffer from his leaving, theres no doubt about that but it gives added impetus to the other players to step up to the plate unless Wenger brings in another Fabregas type of player.

My main concern for next season is getting some decent experienced defenders in and a world class goalkeeper...still think we should try and nab Buffon if hes available. Our midfield will cope without Fab just fine i think....if anything this season showed that we lacked severely in defence and goalkeeper positions and they need to rectified asap....our midfield and forwards/strikers are not the problem.

But as of now i still expect Fab to be part of Arsenal next year as i really cant see him being a starter at Barca...plus hes young so can wait a little while longer before he goes...unless we get Xavi/Iniesta as part of a swap deal for Fabregas. But cant see that happening in all honesty as them 2 are integral to Barca and the way they play.

As it is, its just the media with a few other people ie Ballague or whatever his name is whipping up a frenzy...cant say anything till Fab or Arsenal say something different and they havent yet.
