Fabregas: There's no guarantee I'll be at Arsenal next season

According to Sky Sports News Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has finally spoken on the speculation surrounding his future in England and revealed that there is no guarantee that he will be at the Emirates next season.
The Arsenal captain has been the subject of an intense media frenzy in the last two weeks with Barcelona confirming that they are keen to sign him this summer and Fabregas’ father confirming that his son is willing to quit the Gunners.
Speaking from his Spain’s training camp, Arsenal star Fabregas reportedly told assembled media:
“I am only focused on the World Cup, not my future at Arsenal.”
“It’s up to Arsenal to decide.
“I’m loved more at Arsenal than I am in my own home.”
When asked if he was guaranteed to stay at Arsenal next season, Fabregas simply replied:
“No.”
It was yesterday suggested by Spain captain Carles Puyol that the constant press enquiries surrounding Fabregas’ future was starting to distract the player. Addressing the media, the Barcelona defender also tried to play down the topic but accepted that his friend would be a ‘perfect fit’ at the Nou Camp.
“Cesc is a great player, a great friend and I think he’s perfect for Barcelona. For me if I'd like to see him at Barça, but the fact he is under contract [at Arsenal] must be respected.
“It's very unusual to see Cesc nervous, but all this is a bit problematic for him because we are talking daily about this topic; his fans, his manager and his teammates must all be respected.”

He said it's up to Arsenal, so they have the power, which is good

Yep just watched it on SSN myself...made it quite clear that its down to Arsenal to make up their minds...Pires also saying that Fab will still be an Arsenal player next season.

About time hes spoken out about it...

Another interpretation -

Fabregas said: "I will say only one thing – I have got massive respect for Arsene Wenger, Arsenal football club and the Arsenal fans. Even in my own house I have not felt as loved as I have at Arsenal. I had a long conversation with Arsene and it was the greatest [longest] conversation I have had with anyone in my life.

"I respect him, so, so much and I don't want to say anything more. Wenger said to leave it in his hands and he will deal with whatever happens in the future. It is now all about Arsenal – it is not in my hands.

He's definitely off.

The sadistic side of me is quite enjoying seeing the Ronaldo saga of the past couple of seasons played out again but this time having nothing to do with Man Utd :p

Now if something similar can happen at Chelsea and put their fans through the it ;)

thats Very sadistic (but I totally agree with you) hahaha

unfortunately for the World Cup the "will he/wont he" is likely to be far shorter - if its not over already

He's definitely off.

No he is not! He will go if Barca make a suitable bid, which is far from certain. Barca neither need him, as I imagine that they view him as a replacement for Xavi who is still at least as good as Fabregas, nor can they really afford him.

I think a lot of Arsenal fans are going to have a fit when they see the actual fee for him. I just can't see it being this £50-60million they're talking about.

Barcelona don't need him that badly (in fact, they don't need him at all) and I'll be shocked if they dish out that kind of money after paying £34million for Villa.

If Fabregas says, "let me go", they'll just have to suck it up and take the best offer.

Basically I'd like to think Barca will have more sense than Madrid.

he'd be perfect for them but I don't want them to get him because we can't strenthen our competition like that.

Fabianski
Sagna Senderos Djourou Silvestre
Diaby Song Carrick Eboue
Walcott Bendtner

is a frightening prospect frankly.

Liverpool's often mistaken for a female Fernando Torres has put off all transfer talk surrounding him until after the World Cup.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has admitted he is an admirer of the Spanish striker, while Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the past.

Transfer speculation has intensified after the cash-strapped Reds failed to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League, although Torres' representative, Jose Antonio Peton, has dismissed such rumours, insisting the 26-year-old will still be a Liverpool player in 2010/11.

Those remarks were put to the striker at a press conference for his national team on Wednesday, but Torres told Sky Sports News: "I didn't read them.

"The most important thing for me now is the World Cup. My future is the World Cup and then we'll see later.

"For now and hopefully for the next two months the only thing I am thinking about and talking about is the World Cup."

Excellent, another who wants out of one of our rivals. You see Fergie's master plan is coming to fruition; we dont need to sign any players because all our rivals are being forced to weaken themselves
