Surely with Real Madrid sacking coach Manuel Pellegrini, Jose Mourinho is a dead cert for the job now.

Sky have already reported that he has taken the job. The beeb haven't reported it yet though, because they pride themselves on accuracy... It'll be interesting to see how long he lasts, what style of football they'll play, how he'll work with his countryman and fellow egomaniac Ronaldo, so many things!
Cannot wait for the first El Clásico of next season!

Jose has left inter now hasnt he. Saw a clip on the news last night with him crying and hugging one of his inter players. Doubt it was just a 'see you next season' goodbye.

You would think the calibre of manager that Madrid are bringing in this time would save his head from the chop should Madrid not win the Champions League next season but you never know with that club

It obviously is a lot easier giving the boot to the likes of Queiroz, Camacho, Remón, Luxemburgo, López Caro, Schuster, Ramos & Pellegrini than it would be Mourinho

Having looked through that list it's no wonder they haven't won the Champions League in so long, none of those are particularly great well renowned managers. Mourinho could be the turning point for that club...

they had no trouble getting shot of Del Bosque or Capello...

True but neither really had the statue or ego that Mourinho has at the moment where he's quite frankly viewed as the best manager in the world

Like I said nothing would surprise you with Madrid so it's quite conceivable that if they don't win the Champions League they could very well move him on but I can see him getting at least 2 years at the club

As the article says Wolves only managed 35 goals last season, surely they'll need someone better than Fletcher to improve that?

Hope Blake hits the ground running next season

£7.5mil! That's a joke. I guess it's because Burnley don't have to sell as opposed to Hull, who are in the ****ter financially, despite having spent two years in the Prem rather than just one...

It will mark a turning point for the club if he can transfer some of the power back to the coach. If that doesn't happen then I don't thing he will make it to the first match, let alone last a full season!

apparently he has demanded full control of the sporting cycle of the club right through from media control, player selling/buying, team selection etc etc etc.

castle gray skull must have agreed to it or i couldnt see Mourinho joining.

its going to be very interesting next season la liga.

Mourinho's style of play will fit with the history of Madrid.
Errr... he might finally win you stuff again, but not quite Florentino... :D

Kasper Schmeichal has signed for Leeds. Pretty damn chuffed with that. Albeit lower league, he was player of the year in League 2.
He was a pretty decent back-up 'keeper for Premiership clubs, he'd more than do the job at Leeds and given his age he still has a lot of improving to do.

For those that have an unsatisfied fetish for Nick Bentdner :

Edit - RvP's goals last night, two lovely strikes. I'm somewhat envious that he always does well for Holland but we still have yet to gain a full season out of him. :(

LOL:D

Saw the 2 goals from RVP against Mexico today on SSN and have to say they were quite sublime...2nd one was a cracker...scored it on a volley.

Its a shame that Arsenal can never get a full season out of him..he could easily score 20-30 goals for us in a full season but heres hoping he stays fit for next season...could do with his goal scoring skills.

Keeper fell over for the first leaving an open goal, second was made by the sublime pass

Yep, great news. Sounds like he turned down a couple of offers from prem sides to join us too. Guess he wants first team football rather than a bigger pay packet which is always nice to see.

Not a good day;

Firstly we get a hands off from Spurs regarding Modric and now Sky are saying City are in talks to sign Dzeko
