Why waste that money for a little extra performance on an igpu, benefits that you won't see, when you could use that money for another 680? Benefits that you will see ;)

Good point I do like the performance boost I get from the iGPU combined with discrete card it's around 33%. The problem I have is my 680 costs £500 brand new; it's an expensive card and it's an Asus DirectCU II TOP, they are a little bit harder to find these days. I managed to pick it up originally for £450. I think I'd rather go for a Titan :P

33%? That doesn't coincide with benchmarks I've seen of Virtu. I've also read of people having many problems gaming with Virtu enabled. When I've tried it in the past it made BF3 a stuttery mess.

I guess it's time for me to pull out the benchmarks :P

Graphics score with Virtu

I had some problems with Virtu the first time, so I bought the pro version ( not the poorer mobo freebie ) and it's always been a massive boost for gameplay for me and looks really nice in games like battlefield 3 with SweetFX added. I think 33% is an exaggeration haha but it's certainly a noticeable improvement for me.

Get a ref model that clocks well

I think 1306 Mhz Core and nearly 8Ghz memory clock is pretty good for a preoverclocked Asus card :P

Tried to get virtu running here a while back. No joy, it crashed every browser when trying to launch bf3 in battlelog. Forgot all about it after that, besides my gtx 670 handles the game fine by itself.

No joy yet wazza. Reset the bios to defaults and flashed it to ver 1504. Ran ibt at stock speed, gflops at 58. From google searching last night, a stock 3570k should be in the mid-high 90's.

Mentions needing the latest version of ibt, with AVX instruction set in that thread. Im running the same version, (2.54) that i first tried a few weeks ago where i was hitting the proper amount.

did you fix your gflop issue? could need ibt re downloading?

The issue only started when he swapped his ram for Sammy ram, after speaking last night he's on the earliest bios revision of the P8Z77-V Pro. Could be he just needs a bios update :)

Horrorxpunk get another 680 and you won't need the iGPU, and you certainly won't need to run them at 1300. I run my 670's at 1254 and they rip through everything :)

Edit// ahhj the bios update didn't help? Eurrgghh its even starting to bug me now hah.

Meh I will just flash the BIOS on both 680 cards. Yes I have considered another 680 but not before a 1000w platinum XFX unit :-)

Plus VirtuMVP does not work well with SLI, not well at all.

idk whats going on there, its strange

other than a clean windows install I cant think what it could be

is it the same with ram at stock or oc

you ought to ditch it now for a 3770k,from what ive seen a lot of those 3570's tend to need a lot of voltage compared to the multithreaded chips
