Well guess I'll wait on playing this then. Its in my Steam Library but think i'll rather wait for the patch to add TrueAudio.

Even with the advent of next-gen consoles, for many old-school fans, Thief will always be most at home on the PC. To ensure the best possible experience on the platform, we've teamed up once again with the pros at Nixxes, who previously worked on the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and last year's Tomb Raider.

LOL - seems this thread is way too early
considering how long TruAudio and Mantle has been touted for this game - especially the former -for <edited - got it wrong originally thought driver was not ready) the game to need a patch to support these features - seems bizarre at best
thought we'd seen it running with TruAudio and Mantle on demo rigs ?
what a strange situation - to have something seemingly core to the game experience (TruAudio has been promoted for this game for a long while) - but then to have to "patch it in" ???
don't get it
What a farce, should had mantle on the get go. Now they say in march. Oh boy, seeing how the AMD driver mantle beta patch got release towards the end of january, who knows, they might as well release the next Mantle Patch with thief at the end of march.
Just disappointment really.
This is getting embarrassing now. Made a hash of everything so far (AMD, BF4, Thief) hardly showcasing the features in a good light all people are seeing is rushed products and delays.
Think they need to pick realistic targets, am glad I did not get a thief key now and will wait till it's on steam on a deal I think. If it has a built in benchmark then that will sweeten the bitter taste of disappointment.
Hopefully they release a WHQL driver with none broken Mantle etc, or even a verified none crap beta.
So far, my opinion on AMD's ability to talk the talk and inability to execute hasn't changed a bit (Yet as I say, I exclusively buy AMD GPU's pretty much)
Please remove this game from my library and issue a refund to my wallet, as I pre purchased on the basis that the Mantle API and TrueAudio support would be included upon release.
I have today discovered that this is not the case and that a "patch" will be released on a date yet to be confirmed.
This is unacceptable and even a cursory search of the newsfeeds for the thief game are full of the benefits of the Mantle API and TrueAudio support.
I have no desire to play the game without these two advertised functional benefits included. I may choose to repurchase at a later date however I will not reward a company that launches a product that is not as advertised and issues a last minute notification when "gold release" was well prior to this announcement.
As the game is only pre-installed I have not played it and qualify for a refund.
Thanks.
It isn't AMD though Mart (you bad man), it is Eidos Montreal at fault. How very dare you accuse AMD of such tardiness
