Yeah told you they are both easy, Roddick is only a problem if he ace's. Other than that his high serve causes him problems on the return because he's slow.

That's actually very similar to what I'd pick anyway, though I already have 3 stars in Spin so I'll just drop a star here and there.
 
well i won wimbledon :D yay

although i found against Haas in the final i could fairly easily beat him on his serve, but when i was serving i was getting pwd :S

A mate and I both found it hard to hold serve from the bottom of the screen, but at the top could win 40-0.
 
Just had my Australian Open semi match against Moya, and revenge is mine. In the first set we both held our first 2 service games, then I broke him to go 3-2 up, and had to hold to get the first set. He broke back, then won the tie-break, and I got so annoyed I punched the bed. It worked though, as I reeled off 7 games in a row, on the way to a 3-4, 3-0, 3-0, 3-1 victory. I guess getting angry is the way to win :D I now face Federer in the final, should be fun! :eek:
 
Well I managed it, I beat Federer to win my first Grand Slam at the first attempt :D Took all 5 sets to do it, 3-1, 3-4, 3-0, 3-4, 3-1, but it was one hell of a match. Several times I thought he was going to pull away from me, but I always managed to break back when I needed to, and got the win. Got 9 silver stars and 10 gold stars as a reward, and now have so many Special Events to take part in I don't know when I'll find the time to train! :eek:
 
Those 5 setters eat up the time, its surprising how long they take. Even though it's just to 3 sets. I do wish there was a mid game save. Kinda rain stopped play ;)
 
Yeah, a mid game save would be nice, but I suppose it means it prevents people from cheating by saving it each time they go a set up, and reloading it if they lose. I know you could switch it off before it autosaves, but at least then you have to do the whole thing again.
 
I dont see the problem , nor do I see it as cheating. I miss the quick save feature on the 360 you get with a PC.

But yes likely I would reload if I lost a set :D
 
Woo, won my 2nd and 3rd Slams last night, the French Open and Wimbledon. The game is definitely getting easier as my stats are improving (turned all my 37 stars into Gold stars now), only lost 4 games in total to win both events. Just the US Open left to complete the Grand Slam :D
 
Some of those training events can be a real pain! Actually spent a lot of time playing this today, I'm getting better and having fun :)
 
Anyone had their player just vanish? I'm in the final of my first masters tournament against Grosjean, the match started and all there is of me is my hair :(

I have a feeling I shall lose this one :mad:

heh heh, started playing this last night - seems to be fairly decent although I have only just begun the career mode.

Played an exhibition match with a guy on xbox live and had a great time as he seemed to be at a similar level to me

I am still a noob though, I tried playing a ranked match I didn't realise you could only use your created player :o

The match didn't go very well.... (in fact I think I only managed to win one rally during the entire match)
 
I'm finding this a bit ridiculously easy now. I beat Roddick in straight sets 3-0 each time in the final of the Australian Open and am now doing the same thing at the French Open and Wimbledon... It's rare for me to even lose a game now...

Does it get a bit harder at any stage? I'm season 2 of my career and ranked 3rd in the world.
 
Lost my first game just now :(

It was the final of the Masters in season 2 - won easily untill Roddick in the final, he beat me 3-1 , 3-1 ; ive easily beat him in our previous 2 meetings, but in that he was immense!

ah well cos it was the masters it doesnt show on my stats page, so still 48 played 48 won :D

Onto Season 3!
 
Right this is doing my head in! :mad:

How on earth can I beat that brandon wright guy for the 5 mil? I've played him 3 times before and beat him on every occasion, but for this match hes turned totally amazing. He constantly comes up to the net and plays the ball to either side of the court until i miss. So I try to lob him but he allways seems to get it. :(

Anyone got any ideas on how to beat him?
