What's everyone's thoughts on the Cloud Gateway Ultra? Would use it with a U6 Pro.

Would be Replacing an Asus AX86s

I own one. It's a very solid, well performing device for Gb and below internet connections.

I have the CGU with the U6 Pro and I'm more than happy with it.

Anyone running the ubiquiti controller self hosted and just one of their access points or something? Quite fancy giving ubiquiti a go and wouldn't mind tinkering with it before in the near future going full out on it.

Nope, no issues at all. I ran mine in Oracle Cloud always free tier so it cost me nothing.

We hosted the Network appliance at work for a couple of years with 20+ AP's before moving to a Cloud Key

I've only ever used a self hosted version. My home kit is on a cheap VPS in DigitalOcean and for work I've got about 200 devices on an Ubuntu VM.

Works good for network for ages for me. use the community script on proxmox. I changed when i needed access which you cannot run yourself.

I replaced 2x AX86U's in AIMesh with a Gateway Ultra, U7 pro and U6+ on my 1gbps plan. Its so much better.

Is there anything to be aware of ordering from the EU store they have the lights in stock there?

I was wondering the same. I was looking for the UCG max and it has been out of stock for a few weeks in the UK store. I presume with them the power cord may be different.

PoE devices don't matter what store you get them from, anything you get from the EU store that has a power adapter will come with the wrong plug.
