Finally got the TS server working i sent the IP out over steam if i missed anyone let them know.

A 40 min Stimulator battle you say? Not too shabby :)

I've had my eye on a sweet little bird for awhile now. She's unique in the game, and I really like the looks and the design, especially the way the guns are down the centre line.
She's not cheap, and many people will question me for doing it, but I had to get her. She's SO unique, and I'm all about standout engineering. So, this afternoon, I splooged a few quid at Russia for some Golden Eagles and nabbed her.

I painted her in my usual decals, and gave her a "Hell's Belle" on the nose:

Then I took her for a couple of Arcade battles to see how she do.

And... well... "Good" isn't the word I would use:

Well; I've unlocked the premuim T34, is as expected -good with increased credits.

Going back to planes however after a night of tanking shows how ****ed up the planes are now :(

I'm sure 2-3 patches ago it was reasonable accurate real world wise, now its obviouse some cannons are lasers and its so obvious which planes have been nerfed.

Tonight it was nearly enough to make me sack off planes completely, why choose a plane to research when the devs decide its too good and ruin it?
 
Got both of the Bears and neither are amazing at stock, so have to continue the grind to get all the unlocks for them.

They do turn well though, and climbing is relatively decent off the bat.
 
Well that's true, they aren't all that great without the upgrades, specifically you want the fuel injection upgrade, this is what allows them to climb really well and gives them a nice top speed boost. Naturally this is on the last tier of upgrades, but none the less I would make that one a special priority as you don't have to do them all to get to it anyway.

The F8F1-B, the one with cannons is a bit prone to weapons failure if you lean on the trigger too much without the cannon upgrades. The RoF is high though.

Once upgraded the F8F is amazing imo, it handles brilliantly in all respects.

I only have a few upgrades on the F8F1-B so far but my F8F1 is almost completley upgraded now, iirc I have just 1 left to go that will effect speed and climb rate and it's at something like 36m/s climb rate and 741kmph flat out. Turns very well too.

Had some jet games last night and we were faced with a whole team of the F8F's, what a fight it was. Many of the jet pilots tried to turn, and were doomed there and then, the rest of us stuck to our boom and zoom tactics and got to slowly pick them off one at a time.

3 kills in a jet game yields nice rewards! Was only me left at the end, so it shows the Bearcat can really hold it's own if flown well against jets. I would have to say their pilots were far superior to the skill of myself and the rest of the team.
 
I've used it to down quite a few jets, as if I include the F8F1-B in the line-up with it's 6.3 BR, jets are a given in the game, usually quite a lot of them.

It climbs so well it can nearly keep up with certain slower jets and it can out manoeuvre any of them with ease as you discovered :D
 
Anyone got experience of the Tempest V when fully upgraded? Any good? I'm currently going back down the BR rating and maxing out some planes, US at the moment. P-47, P-63, P-38 etc.

If anyone wants to do some RB this week, I'll be around on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (missus is out). Maybe some RB Wellington fun? ;)
 
Well the Tempest does handle itself quite well, the problem I find is that yet once more you find yourself preparing for landing on Hokkaido, so B17's ahoy!

You can climb to quite a decent height and then dive on them, pump all your rounds into one of their wings and it is good night vienna.

It holds itself well as a fighter but is more akin at a P51 than anything else, climb, then boom and zoom. That is where its strengths lie I have found.

Keep in mind, this in all in RB, not AB.
