******Official War Thunder Thread*******

See everyone can get some lucky shots off at a distance but the frequency in which specific points are hit, namely the optics plates on German tanks (That's who I'm focused on at the minute) is just too improbable without some sort of aiming aid....

Doesn't seem to be any video's for ground forces cheating on youtube but, a quick punt in Google shows hacks that claim they're capable of achieving what I've described....

If people are cheating, I just don't see the point... I mean why, it doesn't make you any better and can't be any fun

quick word of advice, don't post on the WT official forums asking about hacks. they tend to pounce on the OP pretty quickly and close the thread, suspend or ban the OP. the stock response over there is that as the game is entirely server sided hacking is not possible. think it works much the same way as the user created skins - the player can see them for themselves but other players can't as they don't get loaded into the server

I don't know enough about hacking to know if this is true or not, but as you've seen a quick google brings up the usual disease ridden sites offering such services.

it could be hacks or you could be just having a bad run in the game - I know that only 2 well from personal experience - so much so that I'm having an enforced break from the game as the love has waned a little bit for me.

also worth mentioning I've played quite a few games of tanks where I was pretty much one shotting everything that I aimed at, or even pointed my barrel in the rough direction off!! - other games I couldn't hit the side of the mountain from point blank range.
there are still quite a few quirks to ironed out with the ground forces 'beta' as far as I can see

Right got some new bits on the way for the PC and been pestering the in laws to upgrade the internet which they have agreed to do. Fingers crossed I should be able to get on again soon. This internet is a real killer. I have only been able to play some Skyrim and Football Manager recently as online gaming is pretty much a no no :(

So hopefully they will have it done at some point next week, or the week after, they don't do things quickly, and I can get back to soaring the skies like a beautiful yet delicate ostrich.

I know from doing a little bit of research that most, if not all details pertaining to playing are handled server side and as such cannot really be hacked...

However on previously exposed hacking tools for War Thunder, a 3rd party program can give a more precise aim by analyzing the data in real time... can identify targets at a distance using markers etc etc. This wasn't really beneficial in the air game because the mathematics is multi dimensional... yes you could see all players but shooting wasn't anymore effective.

The ground game has less dimensions and runs at a slower pace, the same tools all client side could be, and in my opinion are a hell of a lot more effective and Gaijins refusal to acknowledge they exist is infuriating

Ahhhhh, it's good to be back! :)

*Walks up to defrag. Hugs. Single tear rolls down face*

It's good to have you back, mate. To this day we're still getting into battles and "pulling a defrag" :)
Tell us of your adventures in the real world!

Also, I just got this :D
CABC34F7390223FF218D7FECACB717F8E6FFB840

This thing nearly doesn't pull up, but goes INCREDIBLY fast for a prop driven aircraft. Now I just have to find someone in an XP-55 to shred with its 4 30mm cannons.

Prop plane porn...... It's a pity these things didn't see active service, remember hearing they were mired with redesign issues to save on production costs and ended up being rather lack luster

Applied to the Clan by the way.

Welcome to the squadron, Puppetmaster. You were added last night.

We have many active members, and include a TEAMSPEAK channel on the OCUK TS server (ask in game and we will give you the login details).

If you fancy some team gaming, just give someone a shout online and we'll squad up. There's usually someone on every night, running anything from reserves to jet battles.

How long have you been playing?

Really struggling with the x55 hotas. Its just so different for me and for starters the stick is frankly too large. The springs also don't seem to effect the feel that much, there isn't enough difference between them. Might go back to another trusty t16000m, even if I did break the last one.

Was literally just about to ask you your opinions on the x-55, i love a large stick :p might got for the thrustmaster warthog instead!

Well, being a nice lazy Sunday I thought I'd have Brainchild over for a spot of LAN war thunder.

Brainchild occasionally brings bottles containing War Thunder juice, so on my last holiday I thought I'd be a great friend and get him a little something to open his War Thunder juice during gaming. :)
