...not as much as they like big silver jet bombers :p

...the beauty shots were rather ruined by Photobucket and the compression they put on them.

Was literally just about to ask you your opinions on the x-55, i love a large stick :p might got for the thrustmaster warthog instead!

The stick and throttle are of good quality and it generally feels nice to use. I think the major problem is rather my ability to adapt to hands-on, it just feels so strange as I'm used to using one hand to dash for keyboard shortcuts etc. Still, some things are annoying about this controller:

- springs seem pointless, I don't feel much difference in any of them
- buttons on the back of the throttle are too easy to accidentally press (like my gear down button! ;))

Just discovered this game and loving it. Only just got into the second tier of British planes but certainly enjoying myself :)

HOTAS buttons are aimed more at times of high workload (ie middle of combat) so you can focus of looking outside/at your hud than looking at buttons in the cockpit. Therefore its would be more ideal to have things related to weapons and whatnot on the back of your throttle. It would be better to put stuff like gear elsewhere. Granted that doesn't really solve your core issue but at least 'accidentally' firing your cannon whilst chasing someone is better than accidentally lowering and possibly ripping off your gear :p

Only other thing id say is keep at it. It takes time to adjust. If you haven't already delete any keyboard assignments that you've mapped to the controller as it will help improve muscle memory faster when you realise the old key doesn't work anymore. It helped me a lot going from twist grip+stick throttle to pedals + standalone throttle. Now I'm having to get used to only having the stick again until I sort out a new desk!
