Long form:
On Wednesday night I had a clear out of inactive members.
I stuck to a pattern of removing only people who had no activity on their player cards for the last month, except for people who had left us an explanation for why (This was nobody. Nobody has done this.).
I removed approximately 10 folks, whose names I promptly forgot, because they were never online to ever talk to me or anyone else.
HOWEVER, if this includes you, and you feel it is unfair, feel free to reapply (as was made clear in my messages).
HOWEVER HOWEVER, Mr Kwango and the other Officers and active members I have spoken to agree that our lovely little squadron is here to enjoy playing "together", in an attempt to add a social aspect to our flying activity.
If you are currently in the squadron and are not running TeamSpeak, in-game voice chat or just writing to others at some point in a week to get a squad game going, I recommend you consider if this squadron is the place for you.
If you want to play it solo instead of joining in the fun (and it IS fun. Tons of it), but want the OCUK monicker on your name for the prestige, then you should know:
Eventually my ban-hammer will find you. Or Boyceys. Or Kwangos. Or Spangles... probably not Spangles actually... because infant.
I have had instances recently where I have been online with other guys, and have asked them if they want to squad up, or what battle rating they're playing, and have gotten no answer despite them being online for an hour or more afterwards. In one instance, me and my squad went into a battle where one of these guys was actually on the opposite team. We messaged several times to get his attention, got one short answer back, and that was all.
This stuff shouldn't be happening.
I'm intent on preventing it happening in the future.
To all active players: Keep doing what you're doing. And if you see a name you don't know in the squadron chat, give them a shout. Maybe they'll be your wingman.
TL;DR version: If you don't want to squad and chat then kindly GTFO.
Love and hugs
xoxo
