Hi guys!

What with the daily achievements currently running for both planes and tanks, AND the Heroes of War Thunder thing on top, I was wondering how everyone is doing.

So far I am up to date on my plane achieves for the I-301. No way in hell I'm not getting that plane. And my heart sinks a little every day when I get 1000 lions instead of the plane in the lucky dip. Bah!
I am missing three or 4 tank achieves for the M8A1, as they have cranked it to 40 kills per, and tanks is HARDER to get kills in, so its about 1.7 x harder to do than the plane kills.

I have been given the Daily Deeds only at random. Its just to win more lions, so I'm not entirely fussed.

An ongoing house move means I may be offline for awhile. I don't know if my new place has net still, or if I have to get that put in...

But crack on, and once we're done we'll all go ream some noobs in our new I-301s! (Which I hear have devastating firepower for 2.3 BR! My favourite!)

Well, the tank awards imo are far easier, find a camping spot, camp, win.

Planes however are another matter. The 109 challenge is an absolute joke as they are ALL pap.

Take this morning for instance, I needed two more kills to get the achieve, followed a guy out to sea, crip'd his rudder, elevator and set him on fire, stopped firing while he flew into the ocean.

Seconds before he hit the water a P36G (yep....) flew in, hit him once and got the kill.

I have discovered that my next door neighbour does not appreciate me screaming 'FOR **** SAKE' at 6.45am
 
I've just got into researching jets for ze-Germans! :)

I can go for the he162, ho229, or the arado bomber.

Suggestions?

I'm not yet down to the me162, or me262. :(

Did anyone play the Africa Landings special event? That was a lot harder than I thought, since the 109 F and G2/Trop seriously outclass the Mk Vb/c spits, let alone the Hurricane MkIIB, P40-E, F4F, Beaufighters and Blenheims! I was flying in the Vc and couldn't catch the 109's, nor could I turn with them at high speed (wing rip).

I can only tell you about the Arado and the ME162, as I have those.
I went 162 first, then Arado, and am now on the long road to researching the Horten.

The 162 is not fun when it is unupgraded. You will die a lot. But once it IS upgraded, it is a blast. Especially once you get the engine upgrade.
I fly mine almost exclusively in Jet Realistic Battles, where I spend my time dropping out of the clouds into bomber formations, destroying engines and wings, then legging it away at 800kph. Most fun jet I have.

The Arado is entirely a ground attacker. No guns.
And it comes with a weak bomb load, too. It is also not a fast jet, but you get placed against them. So, inevitably, you get killed a lot.
I recommend this plane only if you want to do ground attack in Realistic Battle, where you get bomber spawning and can sometimes reach the enemy airfield before all their planes are off the deck. Which is great fun! Until the AA shoots you down.

Legend has it the Horten suffers from the same problem as the 162: Crap until it's fully upgraded.

Well Gaijin, I have finally completed all of your sadistic, rotten, awfully thought out tasks to get a plane and a tank - purely out of sheer ****** minded-ness!

It has made me rage on many occasion, and no doubt I've helped to screw up many noobs games and plenty of other games by being completely selfish and quitting as soon as my relevant tank / plane had died.

Oh, and for me plane tasks are short and take in the order of minutes, whereas tank tasks take ******* hours. :mad:

Tomorrow's task had better not be something completely retarded.... here's hoping, but you can never be sure with these Russians... :(
 
Just took a look at the official forums, Gaijin finished the last challenge an hour earlier than advertised, loads of people have missed out on the last challenge by a few tanks or planes while they were still playing.

Giga trolls.
