Out of tier 2 then my best bet is mk2 Spitfire then? You mentioned gun convergience, is their a way to amend that in game, or a base setting people always leave theirs on ?

Yes, when you're about to go into battle there is an option for convergence setting. I tend to leave mine on 400 as I like to shoot if I am 400 yrs or closer to the enemy.

I just rediscovered the FW190-A5 the other night. Domination.

as he said above, but the distance options change depending on if you choose metric or imperial (dirty, dirty imperial). I didnt realise setting them to a time was an option. 400 years seems a bit much, firebar mate!
I use metric, and 400 meters as standard. Still able to get massively unfair kills at 1.2km out

Depending on the plane and ammo, ofcourse.
It doesn't matter if your guns are firing down, or very close to, the centreline of your plane.

just realised, we all agreed max 3.3 br's for those battles and matt was in an La5, so a 3.7.

I have to say, I think I did pretty well with my joystick in arcade last night. Good to be on with the squad for a bit

Obviously my 400 years convergance setting did the trick.

Well, I think I've just found a new toy to be in love with....

The PzKpfw VI Tiger.

Unlocked it last night, and took it for a quick spin. Long-distance killed 3 tanks, before taking a round to the end of my barrel which meant I couldn't shoot, or repair as I hadn't unlocked parts yet. Cue charging into the objective, taking multiple rounds until eventually a 105mm Sherman did for me at close range! Much amusement!

Oh they are awsome Matt, I unlocked mine Saturday and it's a monster at range, the 88 is lethal. More often than not it only takes a single hit.

I must admit I have had mine for some time, but never used it.
The latest achievements are to blame there.
But according to Mr. Boycey, they are best used in a sniper role, or to sit and wait then give a surprise attack.

I probably now have a good month of tiger games ahead of me to get the damn thing upgraded and actually usable. Joy...
