******Official War Thunder Thread*******

If i'm being honest my fav's is the Fw190d-9 for sure. Its a rocket ship for its BR4.7 rating at 750kmph, and has enough fire-power to tackle bombers.

The G-6 is a beastly gun platform tho, you just need to have luck or protection from more agile fighters.

In both cases tho not great in the turn.

109F-4 anf 109g2-trop are also good tho, and i usually run them with pods.

I've just bought the D-13 but it's going up against Spit F22's which doesn't feel too great. D9 with 4.7 BR sounds nice though, I didn't know it was that low?! (the A5 is 5.3 in RB)

popped back on for a couple of games with Vidar.

one game got bombed twice, stuck on a building once, spawn killed once, GG.LOL

Hopefully in a couple of months theyve removed planes from arcade ground battles

Yeah.

Rank 4
BR4.7
base speed 710kmph, 752kmph (aced)
2*20mm MG151
2*15mm MG131

You can outrun almost anything.

Nice!

this should please the SB pilots out among the squad

[In Development] Cockpit Lights and D-5 gunpods

In addition to the canopy opening feature we have prepared something else for fans of the flying inside a cockpit. Players may be familiar with the situation where during night battles it could be difficult to navigate using instruments alone because it was way too dark. This is why we are introducing the ability of enabling lighting for the entire cockpit for aircraft that had them in reality.

Decent games tonight. Though the rage was beginning to build in me towards the end, should really have called it a night 1 game earlier.....damn you vidar :p

I fancy some low-level tanking tonight, if anyone else is up for a spot of that?

I seem to be finding much more fun from speedy little aggressive tactics with small tanks and fun 37mm, 45mm, 20mm and even the naughty 75mm guns to be just far more enjoyable than slowly trundling my way 2/3 across a map then failing to get into a firing position before being 1-shotted by a Tiger 2 :(

Quite happy to join in for any plane squadding action too - my German 4.0 lineup is hungry for some murdering, with a sneaky 4.7 chucked in too! (D9, Imma looking at yoo!) :D

I really need to get my german and russian lineups to scratch.

So far back butt hen again I'm not playing it every night etc. Might have to set some time aside for it

In other news.... this pretty much sums up my thoughts on this matter:

Agree 100% tbh! High level tankage is too slow and frustrating. Too much driving and too little fighting before getting one-shotted by an unseen foe!:(

AND FW190D-9 FTW!

Ah but the joy of putting an IS-2 shell into the hull of a tiger who has driven half way round the map is glorious!! Lol
