Does it fly well with a stick in simulation mode?

I have my trusty old Sidewinder FF2 doing nowt at the minute.

It used to fly like a bird but around 1.35 or something they changed the flight model from what I could tell, it stalls a lot easier than it did (i.e. it never stalled). Nevertheless, I think it performs brilliantly, chews things up good and proper and turns "ok". Keep it under 3000m though, its useless at alt.

Played my first Simulation game yesterday (haven't played in a while).

Its hard... with a mouse and keyboard I found it hard but wicked to play, much more enjoyable than arcade as it was a challenge to shoot things down and not lose your plane in a spin (that didn't work so well).

Will be trying some more tonight :D

I'm getting rather frustrated trying to unlock just the parts modifications on the panther. 6 games in a row, the first shot has ended me. Twice cannon barrels destroyed, twice set on fire and twice ammo racked.

Ver' nice. Which tank did the lions share of the destruction there?

I thought I should tell you the story of the Little M22 Locust that couldn't.
One day I was in a simulator no HUD tank battle on the Poland map. I and the team had done quite well, getting into the enemy cap and spawn points and spreading devastation among them. I was in my SU152 with the derp cannon.
There were 2 enemies left, and we couldn't find them among the buildings of the village. That was until A started to decap. I and another SU152 rushed (lol) over to find a Tiger H sat waiting for us. We took it in turns to put dustbin-sized shells into his crew compartment, the other guy getting the final kill, then trundled into A to recap, knowing there was someone else out there.
At this point a Moron on my team in an M22 Locust, who had respawned after being killed by the Tiger, comes dashing into the cap point, shooting at all of the friendlies in there as he zips around (there were maybe 5 of us in there by this point). So the idiot spends a minute zooming around, shooting us with his pop-gun, including taking out my track.
Then he decides that he's going to stop 2ft in front of my SU152, his gun staring right down the chasm of my barrel.

So I clicked fire.

Had it been IRL, a 152mm, armor-piercing high explosive anti-tank shell the size of a melon would have split his barrel down the axis, destroyed his cannon breach, opened a massive rent in the top of his turret AS IT REMOVED the turret, and turned his crew into soup. It probably would have flipped the tank at the same time.

I believe his words were "...You killed me!!!".
To which I replied:
"You damaged my tank."
"You shouldn't have done that."

TK'ing. Such sweet forbidden fruit :D

Just the other night I saw you push a guy who happened to cut you up down a cliff. Do you mean something like that? ;)

That's a controlled, level-headed response from Kwango.
Although he was probably screaming obscenities at the guy as he did it, and, as the guy died, he will have uttered his go-to phrase of "...I hate this game."
;)

There may possibly have been 1 or 2 expletives uttered. But I still hold the view that I was giving him an education.......at the end of his uncomfortable plummet down the cliff he would have learnt about the following..........

1) Driving; it is not acceptable to pull out in front of on coming traffic
2) Gravity; things drop down cliff faces at an alarming rate
3) Force = Mass x Acceleration.....driving your little F2 out in front of my not so little IS-2 is going to cause my Mass to Force you to Accelerate down the cliff

And therein endeth the lesson.....

The vast majority of it was with the M4A2 76mm (W) - which in my opinion is possibly one of the best tanks in the game, and certainly perhaps the best at its' battle rating of 5.0

It's a fast tank. Not just fast to move around, but the turret spins ridiculously fast for a tank at its' level, so you can often line up and get that critical first shot in. Reload time is pretty fast, so anyone who misses you with their shot or fails to damage you is facing another incoming shot very quickly. There's been times where I've taken on 2 tanks from in cover, swapping shots between each and keeping them both pinned until I was able to land accurate kill shots on them to finish them off, without them being able to return fire on me simply because of how fast I could lob shells at them!

Armour-wise its' stats aren't fantastic but it seems to do a very good job of bouncing quite a few shots or just getting damaged rather than straight-up knocked out.

Get a lineup of the M4A2 76, M4A1 76, and M6A1 and you're well suited to dishing out a lot of pain, and making Pz4's weep! :D
