The 1 hit kills need to go, no matter how skilled you are there should never be a 1 bullet/shell kill in a game that is won and lost on how many spawns you take

I can see your point on that, but I disagree to a certain extent.

I'm not entirely sure that many tanks would survive a hit from a 152mm armour piercing shell fired from a KV-2, which packs 50KG of high explosives :p

However, it pays for that massive firepower with terrible speed, slow reload, rubbish turret traverse and being the size of a house! :D
 
I'm getting very very close to the point where I pull the plug on this game and uninstall it......in fact had I not recently bought a years premium it would be gone already.
there are just too many things wrong and gaijin don't seem too keen to fix those things, they'd rather tinker with stuff that is already perfectly fine.

.......I've joined games which were already in play before but not like this. 1st game sim tanks joined and instantly I was back in the hangar and all my tanks were unavailable for 8mins - thought my net had choked out, but I thought to myself 'strange, you normally get a message from WT that connection has been lost'

but hey ho these things happen. went away to play a game of 3.7 brit planes only to discover that they have completely broken the flight characteristics of the typhoon IB (premium) plane, but then I thought well it's been a few days maybe a week since I last was in planes. maybe I'm just rusty, so ran another gamer. but no, it handles absolutely nothing like it did a little over a fortnight ago and I can find no mention in any patch notes of official changes to the flight model......grrrrr

but sod it, i'll go back to my tanks. into sim tanks 6.7 I go, get into Normandy and take off in my T44....literally just out of spawn (not toward the enemy but off in a flanking direction) and boom gunner or loader, can't remember which, is knocked out. WTF and where did that come from, checked it wasn't friendly - nope - must have been a random wonder shot, but I changed direction anyway just in case. driving along ....boom track smashed......seriously now what! repair track about to drive off.....boom tank engine smashed...repair engine. but my tanks in bits even after repair....press j to bail...no point going any further as this thing is slower to drive and reload than a kv-2!!
3 direct hits just out of spawn with no ranging shots???

respawn......move off again to cover the beach Cap point this time. sitting behind a wall looking down at Cap point when my tanks erupts in flames. kill cam shows the shot coming through the a huge rock on the beach, clipping my front 'mud flap' and deflecting into the back of the engine blowing it up.

back to hangar.......

start a new game.....sit for a few mins....then joining.....as per first tank game game loads and instantly drops me back in hangar.....I'm paying more attention this time. no disconnect error, but on the hangar screen it shows 'victory' alert for the game. but my 3 tanks are not available again for 8 mins. only thing I can guess is that the MM dropped me into a game just as it ended and because it happened so quickly the game got confused and thought I'd just quit out.

so over an hour wasted, zero enjoyment - only anger and frustration.

I've been very vociferous in the past saying that hacking in WT is not possible due to virtually all the work being done server side, and I still agree with that. however, going by my first tank death, if it wasn't a hack then it was something much worse.....an admin or dev with access to the games back end taking advantage.

I've had a ball and met some damn decent folks on here and hopefully we can hook up in some other games, but this will probably be my last serious venture into WT unless there are some major changes
 
I agree this is turning into absolute twoddle!

Magic hits that disable you without visible shots, nerfing of turret speeds, hits failing to register.... I'm sorely tempted not to give Gaijin anymore of my money, seriously considering going back to EVE, at least there they make no bones about screwing you over!

Yup. I missed those out. No impact detection but all of a sudden your tank is broken, quality.
 
I've only put £10 in to WT, mainly cause it's all i think it's worth.

No point grinding hier tiered stuff, might aswell just bork about in the low tier stuff.

I use it as a stress release from Wot, but now with Warships out - I find myself playing Warships's more.

And it pain's me to say it but World of Warplanes is looking appealing compared to this
 
See I also noticed nerfed turret speeds when attacking multiple enemies, it's happened a few times like when your tank is on fire and everything slows down but guess what my tank was 100%. The result, naturally, was I took a pasting and died each time.

Oh and guys there are working hacks, atleast for tanks.... a friend mentioned Aim Junkies, just watch some of the video's.... Gutted!

I'm all for that in realistic or what not, but not in arcade. Arcade should be HP based and not luck from someone in a bigger better tank to make it at least enjoyable instead of getting 1 shot in 3 spawns in the space of a minute :D

same for planes, the phantom 1 shots that people seem to be able to make yet I've had times tailing others for a good 3 or 4 minutes putting more holes into them than swiss cheese (engine shots,canopy etc etc) and they are able to still fly off unaffected.

I know there are cheaters and such but not all of them surely?

The worst hack/cheat going on at the moment is someone making individual people revert back about 30 seconds of game progression normally happens when you are going to cap a point and there is nothing they can do about it and you end up 3 miles back it's not the same as rubber banding or lag it's highly noticable and only happens in certain situations where they are in tears of a loss so have to cheat.

Another glorious thing that needs fixing is spawning in just to die because you're being camped.

Should be no entry zones for spawns at least a small area to actually be able to move before 1shot. lol

yea they did add spawn protection, but again like a lot of the things in WT I've found it to be sketchy at best.

they need to implement 2 things.....
a) spawn campers (where the camper is in their own spawn) firing out of spawn does zero damage....even better, it results in self damage/insta death
b) spawn campers (where the campers is the enemy) firing into spawn does zero damage....even better, it results in damage self damage/insta death

too many teams I've been on where our team sit in their own spawn trying to get 1 shot kills

if they implemented the 2 scenarios above it would serve 2 purposes, 1) it would obviously stop the spawn camp/rape nonsense and 2)even better (IMO) it would drive the 'kiddies' away and by kiddies I don't literally mean children. I mean those idiots who spawn camp/rape. they would actually get bored of the game and sod off elsewhere for the jollies, as you genetally find those that do that are poo poo at the game and it is their only way to get a kill.
 
some fun games in sim tonight with Kwango, german team pwned most of the night.

Yea cheers buddy. Went a ways to helping me find the love I used to have for this game. When it's good its one of the best games out there, sadly when it's not it can be totally soul destroying. Hell even the games we lost were fun tonight!

I prefer roaming around and picking people off, long range shots are fun but after 3 or so it's boring at least for me. They really need to do something as it's sucking the fun out of a good game.
