bah Warships, ignore it. Sure its fun to begin with (as any new game is) but once the novelty wears off and you realise that:
- Aircraft carriers can torp you ANYWHERE, its not like you can hide behind an obstacle.
- HE ammo is overpowered, it knocks out modules AND sets you on fire (DoT)
- No guilds
- No British ships

I wont be touching it again in its current state, maybe not until Brits get added.

Back on-topic.... I wouldn't be too quick to overlook the BR1.x Havoc Mk1 premium. Its a VERY good bomber as well, I think 2x 500lb from memory, not to mention it also has 2 rear facing gunners for protection and unlike the Blenhiem also has forward facing machine guns for ground targets :)

The rendering issues are pretty annoying, nothing worse than coming around a corner to suddenly see an enemy tank pop into view when initially it wasn't there.

The game also seems a bit formulaic in tank battles as well, basically comes down to hit this tank with this round in this area for a near certain 1 hit kill.

Im not sure why they didn't add some more customisation into the tanks like letting you beef up the armour in certain areas. It was pretty common in ww2 for tank crews to weld additional armour to tanks so i don't see why that couldn't be an option in the game. Obviously would need to have limitations, speed of the tanks could decrease for example, and it would only be effective for 1 or 2 hits.

Havoc / DB7 / Boston packs 4x500lb bombs, which are just about the ideal size if your targeting is on form, or you can drop 2 to ensure kills. Best run in below 1000m/3000ft to ensure the hits, and it will kill pillboxes nicely.
I have all three, and they have earnt their cost back over and over again. Brilliant planes.
The best is the American Havoc, which packs 4x50cals in the nose, enabling it to wreak devastation on the ground and in the air, and that twin 50cal turret is like having a laser cannon covering your rear. Excellent to fly as a heavy fighter or as a light bomber.

yup, and it's great fun cause you always forget. usually goes like this.....clean install - jump into battle - planes turns upside down followed by a nose dive into the ground like a dart - bad words - quit out of game - rebind keys.

you then swear that you will either
a) never play the game again
or
b) never forget to rebind after a clean install :p
 
Anyone doing the special event? I'm trying but it isnt tracking at all. Have tried doing the first 2 with USA bombers & fighters of ranks 2 and 3 but it aint tracking :S

Edit: Ah I see you have to complete them on the day rather than just in the entire special period like it was before, thats kinda crappy.

Not doing it anyway, why grind for 2 weeks just for the 'chance' to get a good tank.

Are you kidding? It has WAY better stats than the Blenheim. With 3 in my lineup I run them as disposable bombers, with the first one run in fast to take out as many ground units as possible to cause some shock and awe, and maybe get my team motivated. Doesn't matter if I die, I've got 2 more!

No way am I doing this event. 1. Its for Golden Eagles, and they always offer triffling amounts, and 2. My days of long-haul grinds for premium stuff are over. Unless they offer another I-301 :D

BTW, the premium LAG-3-34 with the 37mm cannon is god-like. Only 12 shells for it, but WOW they hit with some force, and at BR 3.0!!! Its like having a super-cheaty YAK-9T! :D

I tried out the Hurricane IV in RB yesterday, what a beast. Love it! One shot a little CR.42 with it, disintegrated in mid-air? One-shot light tanks, AA, artillery. Nice little plane.

That's interesting, because in the times I've flown it I've found it amazing against metal-skinned monoplanes like the Italian MC's and early 109's etc, but less useful against biplanes.

I've had shots that seemingly have gone clean through the fabric wings of planes, because I've got points for a hit, but no 1-shot kill. I can only presume that they're modelling this, and you only insta-kill the plane if you land the shot on a critical or solid component like the engine, causing the shell to explode properly.

Hurricane's in the Battle of Britain used to return with 20mm holes through their wings/fuselage, due to being hit by German cannon fire, but the fabric wasn't solid enough to set off the fuse of the 20mm shell. :)

The CR.42 was chasing a friendly F2A - I closed to almost point blank range and my shot blew off his entire left wing, so I probably hit a spar and basically de-constructed his aeroplane ;)

Tried the stupid retarded summer event thing again yesterday, finally got 30 tank kills and got a 30% reward.

Not sure if I can be faffed with it today. May give it a shot, the official forum does have the odd person who has gained the KV-1.
 
Guys I'm on PS4 I used to play this game a lot but the PS4 community on here is basically nothing so I sort of went on to other things.

Started on it again yesterday and really enjoyed it. Just wish I had people to play with.

I believe cross play with pc has been added. Anyone know how I can join the PC guys on here?

I have a pretty decent pc too but prefer to game on console.
