The amount of glitching in this game is getting mental. It reminds me a ton of games like COD where you can see the top of someones helmet, yet on their screen the full top half of their body is over the obstacle and they can open fire on you.

Had several instances where i could see the bare tip of the turret of a tank, yet had no shot on them but they could shoot me with no issue despite the fact their turret was behind something that they couldn't shoot through.

Also seeing more and more issues with the rendering where enemies "pop in" after you come out from cover, earlier tonight i was seeing the outline of a tank in arcade mode yet couldn't see the tank despite the fact he wasn't behind anything, it was only when i moved forward a fraction more that suddenly the tank was visible.

Bloody annoying as when you're trading fire with someone coming out from behind cover and having to wait that fraction more for the enemy to become visible is all they need to nail you. :(

Considering the amount of issues you've been having are you certain your net connection isnt playing up??

I've had me fair share of odd happenings but you seem to be getting it worse than most

Not having issues in any other game, just seeing quite a lot in this. The rendering issues to me are very obvious when tanks are doing the edging around corners to take a shot then reversing back in routine. Even in third person mode i can look around a corner with the camera and see nothing then a tank "pops up" about a second or so later, often they're stationary so couldn't have drove in while i was watching.
 
Just starting the game, got a pz 3 c and f researched. Tho im not really sure what i want ultimatly. What kinda way are you going for tanks in the research tree so i can get some idea of what might be worth aiming for instead of just randomly researching tanks. I did want to aim for tigers but apart from that i dunno. Im on german tanks atm.

I love the German tanks, and I'm currently being killed in the Ferdinand, Tiger II, and JagdPanther (I could make better choices with my lineup but I like them) although I have most fun in the T34-42 & T34-41 becuase they are over-powered for the Battle Rating that they are. You can just storm around the map getting 10+ kills a game. When you play both sides, you may feel that there is a hint of bias towards the Russian tanks from the developers.

Then don't play Arcade where everyone is highlighted when they move out of cover? If you want to ambush play a proper mode :confused:

Hmmm it is odd but ive found WT to be a lot more affected by lag than other games, such as phantom shots, you being dead with no hits etc.

Make sure you have only the EU server selected for a start, I find US is ok but I get terrible lag on the RU and SE servers, see if that helps.

You should aim for the Panther D, it's BR is just right I think. It's an absolute beast when played right, excellent high velocity gun and good sloped frontal armour. Most folks seem to rush for the Tiger's but they aren't worth it imo.

Yeah its set to eu at the moment, i'll have to see if i can get it on video. Could be lag and the engine being slow to update i suppose. :)

I think he might have a point since Arcade has to highlight an enemy and this has to happen with all sorts of objects in the way, so I wouldn't expect it to be bulletproof.

p.s. play a proper mode ;)

Dunno about other modes, from everything i've read realistic has its own issues with people putting things on low so they can see enemies that on their screen are in cover in bushes etc. Not really sure why a specific minimum isn't enforced in the game so this isn't an issue. Kinda renders camo etc pointless if the bush you're hiding in isn't there on the other guys screen and your tank is basically sitting like a plum out in the open. :eek:

I have noticed that certain maps seem to suffer from this issue more than others, poland is the one i see it on most. Its not just the highlight around the tank, its the actual tank itself.

Didn't realise just how much difference there is from the high to low settings. :eek:

Yup I'm a low quality warrior, feel forced into it as simulator tanks is unplayable otherwise due to you getting spotted from across the map.

Wouldn't do it if a minimum standard was there though
 
Smacks of laziness on the devs part, instead of hardcoding some options to have a minimum setting they just let people change the settings to mad degrees so it looks like a ps2 game instead of a pc game. I honestly couldn't play a game with it looking that way. =/

I believe there have been some petitions to force foliage.

Tbh I don't really find it an issue because I don't think that many people really do it, I still go around spanking such folks quite happily in my Panther D ;)

Yup there has been petitions and I'll support them, because I want to be able to hide in trees and use cover properly.

It all depends what map you play, mozdok it horrendously bad for ULQ campers and so is jungle as shown (not a massive fan of either of those maps anyway) but other maps are less affected
