So far hitting the plane has been achievement enough! I generally use the "stealth" rounds so they don't know what's hit them (or is missing them in most cases).

This. Unfortunately its so much easier to play in Arcade with KB&M than it is with a Joystick

Any of you guys have premium accounts?

I ask as I considered it.. Thinking. Swtor2 subscription is 8.99. Then most other MMOs around the same..

£13.99 !!!!!! For 30 days. Holy cow. That's insane. Do they want people to even go premium with that price?

Just seems pointless getting it. Grinds painful atm in spitfire tree as needing 111k to move up rank and getting avg of 3-6k per battle Lol

Love game but feeling like it's going to be pointless moving above level 5 per nation

I just stick on premium account for a day or a week every now and again whenever the mood hits me or the grind is wearing me down.

if you're playing with a squad on a regular basis it doesn't feel that bad to be honest

get the steam package which is 20 odd quid i think, you get 2 months, some planes and 10000 gold.

That seems like pretty good value, but is it for new accounts only or can it be added to an existing account?

Anyone can add it, and yes it is insanely good value!

The 10k of Golden Eagles alone makes it a steal, add in two awesome premium planes and two months of premium account and it's really a no-brainer if you plan on investing any money in the game.

Oh and if it's your first time buying a premium package, you should get a free Tu-2 as well which is a decent Soviet dive-bomber.

I've been buying chunks of premium time since I started, and really enjoy the extra lions I get out of it. I really decided to go Premium when I got to lvl 10-11 British and it was taking forever to get new planes and decent pilots, and of course WT shows you what lions you COULD be getting if you went premium. That was it for me, not looked back since. Can you get that £20 package more than once?

Unfortunately no; it has to be activated through Steam, and can only be done so once.

If we're lucky they may offer a similar package when the ground vehicles go live but with tanks in place of the planes.

Had a quick few games last night and my connection held out for a change! Been having big problems with my internet for the past few weeks which means I have just been playing single player stuff.

Hopefully it will hold out for a bit longer and let me in the skies again

Yeah, no joystick for me! Although I stick to arcade battles, I get the feeling I might be at a disadvantage with a KB&M in any other mode. Probably won't be getting a joystick anytime soon, unless the Star Citizen dogfighting alpha goes really well.
