****** Official World of Tanks OcUK Clan ******

Exceptionally rude clan. I've encountered about 7-8 people from OCUK in total, and every single one of them were rude to every one else. Either running their mouth of just completely childish and wrong behaviour.

Hope you guys are proud.

Looks shopped to me! :)

Actually it was ms painted :p but only cause there were so many tanks hit that I couldn't see em all without scrolling so I took 2 screenshots.

On another note, Its funny how I damaged 9, killing 4 and get the highest xp... yet I got no medals, and another team member damages 6 gets 0 kills (does less dmg than me) but gets the confederate medal. I should have let one of mine live then I would have got it lol. Seems it pays not to kill sometimes :p

Blitz to be fair, you started talking about how Batchats were "enter aggressive homophobic comment here" because you had just got schooled by 2 of them. You then went on to say "team (homophobic comment) auto loaders and Arty"

I believe your XP was 94 at the end of the game with zero damage.

In our defence we simply stated the obvious that you had a less than desirable win rate and stats on the E100 and therefore had no real right to start abusing our team's Batchat.

You then closed the game out saying that all we do was to "sniff OCUK mens Private parts"

I dont think we ever called you a rude name, or swore at you. If I did I apologise. But in our defence, you were the one "running your mouth off"

I have the replay if you want to watch yourself back.

Hope to see you in game soon.

No one has ever been rude to me , quite the opposite imo, they tend to be helpfull and free with their advice.

I'm not sure what his rationale was for coming on here and saying that tbh. I wasn't in the game but having heard the transcript of what he said from the replay, i'd be fairly embarrassed if I was him. I certainly wouldn't come posting on the clan thread about rudeness given the homophobic and abusive comments he posted when he failed.

Have to agree with your statement of my angry reply was after a fustraiting start after people deliberately blocking, warning them of a batchat threat then getting artied behind cover and flanked before the match starts. Because autoloaders and arty are my pet peeves atm. Apologies for my knee jerk reaction.

However your replies and also the fact i've encountered 7-8 of you guys in a period of a month or two, which one person was spouting the N word at a load of people which I was horrified and others being exceptionally rude and just baiting random people in general.

Although I may have had a very angry reaction but didn't call a name or a specific person just exclaimed at arty/batchats and you guys instantly start being very rude trying to troll me which in your own right is as bad as what I was saying. Which again I do apologies for, I wasn't much of a gentleman but a very stressed angry man.

However as I said you two aren't the first, and the fact I felt soured by my encounters with your other members didn't make me want to tolerate two people baiting me, especially when the encounter before that was racism.

All in all, poor attitude from my side, followed by your baiting meant we looked like animals, which neither of us looked good. So a big apology for that match. Which I hope next time I see you we can have a good match.

See you around.

Is it pay2win?

In a weird yes and no.

You can buy tanks with real money which are designated "Premium" tanks. They have very little repair costs and earn you more in game credits per match. However they are as good as any other tank of their tier and in some cases worse. However if you had never played the game before and bought a high tier premium tank and went against people who knew what they were doing but didn't have a premium tank you would get crushed.

The other aspect is, when you're playing with Tier 9-10 without having a premium account you will struggle to make credits in game even if you win matches due to very high cost of ammunition and repairs. Even some Tier 8's you will start to think you will need a premium account due to their upkeep costs. You can get round this by owning lower tier tanks and grinding with them.

All in all there are some pay2win aspects to it, but nothing that if you purchase it with real money will mean you will just crush every one infront of you.

but its addictive.

Its lot more fun with lower tiers, learn the trade and as you progress up through the tiers you will find it a good experience.

Apart from the bad traits we always harp on about.

I tried that premium black prince tank and its god damn awful. Its got a massive oversized turret, a weedy gun and moves slower than a Churchill III.

Like any of these Free To play games, the developer needs to make money somehow. If you want to play with the big boys then your generally going to have to reach into your pockets.

I spend what a lot of people would consider to be a fortune on WOT, mainly on Gold to finance gold ammo and tanks. This does not instantly make me a better player, you need to an idea of what you are doing as someone has previously mentioned, gold ammo (rightly or wrongly) does give you the edge over opposition and I use it pretty much all the time.

Like anything, if you like you will start spending money on it.

As other answers plus
You get an amount of xp and credits after every game, obviously more for a win.
with a premium account (iirc its £9 a month) you will get a 50% bonus on the xp and credits for every game.
This will make you progress through the research trees a lot faster.
And as Blitz said, u can always tell the noob premium tier 8 tank players just by how they play the game as they just dont have the expierence at higher tiers.
Dont buy a tier 8 prem tank until u have a tier 7 tank at least and with a few thousand games under your belt.
Personally i would play 200-300 games and if u still like it, take out a month of premium and keep going.

I agree its a good game, but the further you go the more you realise the game is over populated with idiots.
True but that is random battles for you.
Also what i meant was, that around tier 4 or 5, when u have a crew at 100% and have bought some equipment, the tanks are better to drive, faster to aim etc.... than the tier 1 or 2 tanks that take ages for the aiming circle to get small.

Tank of the Month: WZ-131

Well that's a spot of luck as I happen to be grinding the little guy right now anyway, so 30% extra credits = yay!

This game good? Installed it last night but not gotten around to playing it yet, will give it a go in an hour.

Yeh it's good. Just give it a few games and at least get yourself to tier 2 to see what it is all about. It's great to be able to upgrade your tanks and eventually get a better tank alltogether.

Not really, with the exception of "gold" or Premiuim ammunition, but then paying will help to level up faster.

With regards to premium tanks, my first worthwhile one was the Type 59, pretty much when it first came out (though I didn't realise it was new at the time, I was one of the first before the crowd. :p) and basicly I have never regretted it.

If you enjoy the game enough, then the premium tanks help rake in the credits for their tier, but wait until you get to a decent tier before you buy them. For a tier 5 premium (probably the best to start with) wait until you reach tier 3 or tier 4. For a tier 8, wait until you at least get to tier 6 or maybe even tier 7.

With premium accounts I originally only used one when I was running a 3 man platoon, but started using one regularly when I got the IS (tier 7). I only do them a month at a time (or sometimes for 3 days during 5x specials, if they happen when I'm on a break from the game) as I can stop playing at the end of the month and go back to other games (such as L4D2 or Supcom2) if I wish.

Look pal. I think we all understand that the game can be very frustrating at times, and in a lot of cases this frustration is relieved by people hurling insults and baiting other players in the team. I'm not saying it's right, but we've all done it, simple as. However, to come on here and make a generalised statement about the clan being exceptionally rude is just plain unfair.

I can't comment on your previous encounters, as I have no idea who or when this was, however, I'd be very surprised if anyone used potentially racist language in the game chat (that said, such comments are very subjective anyway).

I play with the guys in this clan on a daily basis, there are some strong personalities, however, I have never found myself particularly offended be anything they have said to me, or anyone else.

Like I said, everyone gets frustrated in the heat of the moment, especially if you deem other players on your team to have done something stupid. However, that is more an issue with the game model, and if you make such comments, you really should be prepared for people to reply.

Not sure I agree with that. Obviously you shouldn't buy one unless you're sure you'll play the game enough to get your monies worth but even an inexperienced player will generate income with a premium tank and it will really help you early on having a tank that can bring in the credits to afford your new tanks, crew training, modules and any equipment you want to purchase. Equipment won't make a crap tank good but it will make a good tank even better.
