Really need to get into this again not played for nearly 6 months

Any recommendations for a decentish headset for ts?

It's pay to win that's why I'm not bothered with stats, just play to enjoy if you ask me!

I'm really liking the M4 with the upgrades and the 105mm. Slow to reload but packs a meaty slap... and you can't beat one of those! :D

Thats my favourite fun tank - 105mm + Plus 10% increase to reload with gun rammer & camo net to hide.

Sit in the trees and pound away at anything that moves.

I have this. Its okay has good sound. Slight issue is the mic on.off is near the volume so if you accidentally catch the button when changing volume or like me when I pick it up or put it down the mic goes off and I couldnt figure why it wasnt working till I realised that button was there.

Haha, that's my setup +binoculars. One shorting level 4-5 tanks is fun! :D

i use a pair of Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000, you can find them for £20 and they do the job nicely for me and they have a 3 year warranty.

then you get accused of camping by the muppets who cant tell difference when providing support.

To be fair it depends on which map as to what I do, I am keen on just B-lining the enemy and going for it.

I don't care for win/loss ratios, perhaps it's my age and the fact having fun is far more important than pathetic 'e-peen' that has no retail value.

Yeah to agree there are a few maps where if you are quick enough you can get through to the enemies flag without being seen and often this is due to a lemming train and cause a lot of damage too.

I am not bothered about the ratios either mine are crap / crazy. My win/loss has gone down but my hit ratio shot up by about 11%.

I installed XVM lite just to get the minmap info I wanted and its installed the expected win percentage before you start. I dont take too much notice of that although once it was 30% win estimate on my team and we actually won. This was due to the cannon fodder on the left/middle giving target practice to the enemy whilst 4 of us sneaked up the right side, took out a couple of tanks and got to the flag. So there was us 4 in the top flag and about 8 red going for our flag and we won. Only because the red's were too busy going for the kill on our team mates instead of going for the cap.

Been involved in that a few times to be honest.

It's the TD's that call other TD's campers at the start of a match, then proceed to get annihilated as they drive straight into half the enemy team on the other side of the map. Ferdinand drivers seem especially prone to it, dunno if it's when they just get the tank and think it's invincible or played it in beta expecting it to be the same now lol.

Hi,

Just thought I'd ask....

My T34 crew now have 2 skills BIA & Repairs, what should I give each crew member next?

Was thinking of a skill special to each role, but not sure which ones?

Regards

Your crew shouldn't be trained on T34 but on your other heavies. They tend to have weak sides so clutch breaking is a good choice for driver.

Drop skills on commander. Take BIA and 6th sense when you can reset to at least 200% then start with repairs again. 6th sense is the most important skill to have. Beyond those 3 there is a pretty poor selection for commander. Perhaps jack of all trades but your weak spots usually means your commander is dead first.

Decreasing aim time for gunner, safe stowage (perk I think so you need 100%) or speed buffs. I wouldn't worry about camo; the view range buff is quite small iirc.

Yeah, premium tanks shouldn't have crews. You should aim to use your crews from other vehicles of the same class and nation. So for example, you'd want to switch your crew from your M103 to your T34 do your double, then switch them back into your M103 and do the double again. That way you'll rank them up double quick.

On heavy tanks, I tend to go BIA first, followed by skills that increase movement speed and/or repairs. Next, anything that increases view range. I always tend to choose skills that are effective while they are building up then switch them to a perk as that only become active at 100% So I might choose camo as that increases in effectiveness up to 100% then switch a crew skill for a sixth sense (perk) and then re-skill on camo for that crew member.

I normally wait for a 50% retraining special to come around to do that.

The 50% special is on just now for crew retraining in case you hadn't noticed. 100gold for retraining and for dropping skills.

I only do it on specials too, i grudge the normal 1000/1200 price for a full crew when there's no special on as gold isn't exactly cheap.

I do the opposite with BIA, i tend not do it at all until i get onto the third skill then reset it as the first.

Not played WoT for a couple of weeks, longest I've gone without playing for a while.

My temper was at boiling point in each game of late and then I had a game in my Tier 9 French TD Foch and was pinned in by two mediums while several of my team mates sat a hundred meters away and did nothing to help. I boiled over and rage quit the game and I've not been back since and to be honest I don't miss the keyboard face rolling retards that make up 95% of the player base.

I don't blame you tbh. I haven't quit completely yet but getting close to it, my weeks on WoT tend to go along the lines of having a good evening or two followed another two of playing with absolute idiots so i log off then try again in a week or when the next special starts that interests me. I probably wouldn't have been doing even that if i didn't have 5 months premium from Nvidia codes.

I've even tried the lower tiers a few times lately but they are full of people who seem intent on just being gits. 2 matches in a row earlier i jumped on the little Pak 40 and twice in a row i had someone intentionally trying to stop me getting out of the spawn by blocking. I was patient with the first one for about a minute before i killed him, the second i gave him about 5 seconds lol.

Edit - Here's my crappy stats from tonight, a good few of these losses have been games i've done 4k-5k+ damage and still lost. One was on the Obj 704 with nearly 8k damage and 5 kills, still a loss, i only got that damage because an awesome T71 was the only one who came to the north flank and spotted like a boss on Malinovka Assault, we were assaulting. The rest lemming'd it to the woods on the SE, even those that spawned with us at the top spawn.

Played the centurion GC (T10 Brit arty) on the test server last night one shot every 55 seconds. But with premium ammo you do 1650-2750 damage with a flipping 11m splash radius.

It is just hysterical - I killed 3 tanks with one shot last night E100 on about 50%, Leopard 1 from 100% and T110E5 on about 20%.

Also played the leopard 1 - damm it I'm going to have to get one. Love my E50m, but the leo1 is just flipping lethal - the acceleration is just awesome - pop out, no aim time - shoot, back before the spotting algorithm even shows you up !

The leopard is quite a bit of fun, only used it on the test server too. There's only a few tier 10s that I'm really interested in at the moment and that is one of them. Slow going on the grind up that line though, still on the tier 6 medium. :(
