I've driven quite a few T10s on the normal server over the last couple of years I've been playing.

HTs:

IS7
IS4
T110E5
E100

MTs:
T62a
Bat Chat
E50m

TDs:
T110E4

The only ones worth the grind IMO are the E50m and T110E5 although the T62a is a nice tank. The others have all been hit by various nerf bats, mobility, armour, gold ammo etc.

The BatChat when it was at T9 was just awesome - so much fun. Moved it to T10 gave it less traverse speed, 5 shots per drum not 6 and slowed it down. It became a tier higher and a much worse tank.

Leopard 1 is where I am going next, but I bet it gets nerfed in favour of the new 'best thing'. It almost thinks they want people to be always grinding so that they spend gold and buy premium accounts/free-xp ;)
 
At least you didn't poopoo the object 268. :) The batchat was one I liked the look of though and have enjoyed playing it on the test, but then I've never played the tier 9 version.

I'm happy with my t54, so the t62a doesn't interest me too much. It doesn't feel like there's too much more I could do, that I can't in the tier 9.

You'll get to the leopard before I do. :p
 
I'd have to disagree about the Batchat being worse at Tier 10. You get less shots than it did at Tier 9 for sure but each shot does more damage now which makes up for the lack of one more shot. Zero dmaage pens are a real PITA but thats true for all multi-shot french tanks. Its certainly a situational tanks, you can have good and bad games in it and the map certainly make a big difference on how you should play it. When i've had good games in it I've done really well coming away with 8K+ damage in other games I've been one shotted by arty (before 8.6). I personally like it a lot.

Being able to out flank and hit your enemy in the back is a good tactic.
 
Batchat worse at tier 10? Nah. Better balanced, but certainly still perfectly capable of destroying most tanks with a single volley of shots during which time, most will get one or two off.

Suddenly posting in here again Defrag! Mean you are thinking of coming back to WoT? I'd wait until the end of the school holidays if I were you... ;)

Oh yeah, keep checking the thread every now and again to see what is going on. :D

As for coming back.....i'm in no immediate rush to be honest.

War Thunder, while it has its fair share of idiots doesn't come close to where WoT is currently at in terms of the "tard" factor. Currently sitting pretty in 3 Meteor jets. :) Come try it again!

I may just load War Thunder up tonight, you can join me if you like, as long as you don't mind sitting in tier 2-3 battles, while I rack up my Hurricane!

Not wishing to de-rail this WoT thread with WT comments, but you might want look at doing the tutorials if you've not already done so. They give you free golden eagles to spend on premium aircraft or a day or twos premium account - which is nice!

Anyway, back to WoT...bunch of window lickers! :p

Yeah. Someone wanted to report me for staying close to base (mountain pass), not exactly support, but I didn't go running after the others, way to slow for that.
Was just rolling around, 3 mins later I'm the only one left and they're shouting Defend the Base! :rolleyes:
 
Haven't played WT in a few weeks, might give it a another go - the patch that nerfed income horribly put me off.

Bat Chat - @ T9 it was nimble, 6 shot mag, gun was a little less dmg/pen, but just felt better balanced. At T10 it feels too 'heavy'. Still a great end-game tank though.
 
At the minute I'm stuck at tier 8 with trying to get tier 9 tanks, and the motivation just isn't there, it's time to put my hand back in my pocket, at the moment upgrading the PC is on the priorities which leaves no money for WOT.
 
Which T8 tanks are you grinding - I often reckon T7/8 is where the max fun is. T10 just gets so expensive when you end up with the window lickers WoT day out.
 
I loved the batchat @ t9. It was slower when it got moved to tier 10 but I just invested in all the crew skills that affect movement / traverse and it made it quote a lot better. Its a great tank - can have some fun games in it.

Sounds about right....

Annoys the crap out of me when either the lemming train starts, or all spread out hell for leather over the map.

No one seems to look at the mini map & then like you said, they then start the abuse towards you once they're the first ones dead.

I'm sure as far as Wargaming see it... 'Working as Intended' :D

At the minute going for the Centurion 7/1 and whatever is after the IS-3. I really only want the 7/1. I really enjoy playing my comet and the Centurion, but lately match making has just been screwing me over with T9-T10 battles, whilst this gives me a golden opportunity to make a load of experience, it's just not fun.

am more and more annoyed with the way people play after 8.6

as accuracy got improved, more people stay at base and camp …
with 8.6, I get lags on explosions etc..and my PC is not on the slow side…

not sure how people manage to kill with SPG as it is so carp right now…am considering my favourite lorr 51 ;(
I was good in arty and now am utter carp …

At the moment an enjoying centurion. I love the fact that it has huge gun depression and hard to penetrate turret – other 8 tier tanks and some higher have problems in penetrating when bottom is covered.
Centurion is so much better than comet. Comet is a fail big time….
 
Arty is just shagged - I've stopped playing it. For some reason that is the route that WG took in getting fewer arty per game. Why they didn't just put a limit on is beyond me. Sure arty players might have had to queue for slightly longer but so what ? I queue longer in T10 than in T7.

The Centurion GC on the test server with premium ammo is so much fun - you can just wreck peoples day so easily. Pre aim to where HTs back up and pummel. Plus gun arc is mad, you can really drop things over boulders. Range is only about 1200m so you cant go corner to corner on a 1000m map.

Not really noticed any camping issues to be honest. I've been able to play a lot more with my Tier 10 tanks since the patch due to reduced arty numbers (5 per side is NOT good) and from what I can see, arty still manages to kill me when I'm still for too long (ie when I get preoccupied with a difficult to kill tank), but it doesn't make me rage when arty kills me anymore. It actually takes skill to play.

Also all this "Accuracy buff" I haven't really noticed. It's only that less shots stray from the middle, not that the gun will always hit its target. Russian/Chinese guns are still able to let me down at range, and I still play a lot of Russian & Chinese tanks.

Go for the Centurion 7/1. I didn't actually like the Centurion 1 much (though I did quite well in it, somehow), but I love the Centurion 7 and still have it in my garage, even after getting the FV4202.

The IS8 however I fell out of love with really quickly, the armour on it for a Tier 9 heavy is a joke, The IS7 is awesome, but I was fortunate enough to have the IS4 to grind through to get to the IS7, so that was a very good grind. Not sure I could say the same about the IS8. For it's tier it's just nowhere near as good as an IS3. The ST-I is a much better Tier 9 heavy...

Finally, sorry Defrag about War Thunder last night, I'd fallen asleep when you messaged me on Steam...

Really struggling at tier 8.
T32 and Pershing.
Just cant get past the bad gun on the T32.
I like the Pershing but it's pretty much paper, although turret can bounce.
