Haha almost, i spawned north and went down the "main" street, the one by the hill. Faced a KT lowe and something else. Quickly killed them as i just peeked out when i was ready to fire. There was an is3 harrasing me around there, but he was hiding a lot as i had hit him twice. I then sniped another lowe + is from across the court yard. When they were gone chased the is3. There was a lowe trapped in one of the buildings with a window so got him. Meanwhile our team is capping. There was another lowe (seems i got 4) at our base, got him. The T34 was going back to defend his flag. Got one shot off.

Eventually caught up to him, finished him off and the vk. Was pretty easy. Had steel wall and still had approx 1100 / 1800 hp left :p
 
Is there anyone willing to make a platoon up with my t3 tanks included?

I've managed to work up a bit from the starting tanks and been asking in chat with no joy. Not sure if i still need to grind some more before a platoon is worthwhile.

I've got a t46 and a PzIIIA at the moment. I've got more researched but need crazy amounts of money like 200k yet i only earn like 5k a battle before i can get more.

Think i should be on tonight at some point. I havent played in a platoon as yet, though i take it its just pretty much the same.

Good job :), gotta a love the JT, however it has the tendency to attract arty.

I quite liked the JP 4 but hated the Jadg panther at stock but after 6.5 the panther seems quite good with bouncing. Would recommend getting 10.5 asap if you have premium, lots of damage but shells are expensive.

Ferdy is immense, one of the best tier 8 with the new gun, (L55 I Think) and the JT with L61 is even better, i have 1 shotted a few IS before now with that thing.

For some reason Lowe drives seem pretty bad, dunno if its the tank or just general bad play. They seem to like camping when they should be brawling with other heavies.

I am also suffering with WOT rage a bit now, when not in platoon its impossible to communicate with some players sometimes.

Example:

That map with the tree lined road on one side and the rail line on the other, its quite open and has big hill around in south East part of map.

I was in T20 and about 8 of us formed up on tree side, I said I will scout up the road and head for arty, follow behind by about 50-100m as the enemies guns will be on me and you will be free to shoot.

Started off, uncovered about 3 enemy tanks, tanking fire but made it to the arty, took one out and died. looked back and saw that the other 7 were camping in the same spots.

Meanwhile the other side get rolled up and we lose. I actually wonder if some ofther players actually look at the map as their awareness sucks or maybe its just general lack of intelligence.

I will probably get banned soon for swearing at someone badly.
 
Possibly some tweaks to exisiting maps as well tho i cant be 100% sure on that.

Edit just re-reading overlords notes for 0.6.5 i see this.

So we kinda getting 4 new maps, 2 will be redone from existing and if their anything like previous redesigned maps they should be good.

Thats the problem a lot of people have with the lowe they think it is a brawler and it isn't. It is a damn good second line sniper but up close can be got rid of quite easily thats why you see good lowe players holding back they know it's strength. I will brawl with it when i have too but much prefer long range picking them off as i know in close it is way too slow can be circled easily and killed easily.

Will be interesting to see what 6.5 brings and hopefully it will not fix one thing and break three others though that might be wishful thinking.
 
Patch lands tomorrow according to notifications I saw in game this afternoon.

Noticed they've taken the US Heavy line changes out, are they due in 6.6 or 6.7?
 
I'm just not looking forward to having to move again as artillery :p

Luckily it should be easier to counter for a few weeks. Everyone will be in the swing of never bothering to move so there should be plenty of easy shots for now.
 
Tracers arnt coming back this patch apparently, no sign of a mention in the new patch notes.

AP will only deal damage if it penetrates.

HE has lower penetration but will deal (at most) half damage even if it doesn't penetrate (low calibre shells against really thick armour still do nothing though). If it penetrates it tends to knock out multiple modules/crew members though.

Only reason to use HE is because you simply can't penetrate the enemy from that angle or you're too far away to reliably hit a weak spot with AP. Doesn't apply to arty though obviously.
