Depends I suppose but I've had it unlocked for over a year and not planning on buying it as it seems way out of meta right now. Vbaddict stats back that up, Leopard 1 is second from bottom in whole of T10 for WR. Prot A is doing little better but I don't see a point of it when AMX 30 Prot exists.
That and in my case between AMX 30 and Centurion lines it seems redundant to buy as stock grind is pretty bad without free XP. You literally have to unlock every module as none of them are shared between other tanks, although oddly enough the top radio is already unlocked on mine.
That's when you just look for easiest damage and kills to farm and basically cause as much bang as you can before going down. I've had a game today where I fired like 2 shots in my T25 Pilot and I was 3rd placed on the team. 10 people not doing any damage at T8/9 game is spectacular though.
Again though, nothing against idiots in this game but if 5 of those got moved to the enemy team and you had 5 from their who can do at least a few shots worth of damage and you have at least a respectable game on your hands.

And there you have it. ALL they need to do is to share out the idiots. Just make sure that whatever the range of player ability, the MM makes sure that the chance of winning is apporx 50% +/- 10%. But when TEN PLAYERS on your team do 0 damage it's just not even fun.
Yeah I'm giving up hope on that one now. They mentioned they will look into T8 matchmaking in their plans for 2018 and apparently going to be looking at implementing some innovative solution for preferential MM tanks so they are more competitive. Not sure if I plain laugh at that or roll my eyes?

No idea why, but I started the German arty tech tree yesterday and up until now (Grille) it has been painful. Inexperienced crew aside it seems to take an actual year for the things to aim in fully and in my experience you have to fully aim to be in with a chance of hitting the target, by which point the target is no longer spotted or has driven off. Haven’t been able to shotgun anyone either like I can quite easily with the British artillery. Grille doesn’t seem as bad, but hopefully most of it is down to the crew.
Quite often find myself having to spend the majority of the game relocating as arty as well because the teams seem to be unable to defend any section of a map lately. I just come to expect crap teams now and do what I can and I say that as a rubbish player.
Been playing a lot the last ten days and researched and bought a few new tanks, but back to work on Tuesday so the progress will slow down to a crawl again.

I use this skin for the Black Dog > Avalon's Workshop < simple copy and paste into res mods/9.X.X>X>X etc.

He was in a platoon with 2 other PzB2 kind of roflstomped one flank.
Well that's a professional sealclubber if I ever saw one. Interesting that the first tier 8 in his list has a god-awful win rate however.
