****** Official World of Tanks OcUK Clan ******

That dossier thing is nice, thx underscored thomas,
i played most time solo, just maybe 10% in toons before ocuk, thats maybe why my efficiency is higher, cause if u in a platoon with good players like u, the enemys will pop faster and u do lower damage, spotting capping and so on, but with a platoon u just have much more fun and i enjoy the game much more with some of u guys in a toon.

Not on this first test I don't think.

It's not being run like the other ones. There's no free gold or 10x earnings, it's just new physics, new graphics and new sound effects. I think only a few maps are in rotation as well.

When I went on people weren't even fighting. Just running around like mad-men in t-50-2's and elc's, trying to find the best places to jumps and get into buildings.

U can earn 1000 Gold till 26th august,

u need to kill 3 artys with a tank and 3 tanks with an arty in a game with at least 4 artys in each team. For more info visit the wot-site.

Does the game use more than 1 core / thread yet?

Just tested it Pup, it was using 4 of 6 cores, 5gb ram, but i got a lot of graphical corruption/flashy textures.
It does look damn nice mind.

fps was hovering at 121 with vsync off

Hi there,

Just thought I'd ask what mods people use?

I've seen a few replays where the sight/targeting appears to be different from the norm.

Does anyone use one and what is the advantage of it over the standard, if any?

Thanks,

WaveRuler

For me the modded reticle provide better contrast and the reload timer counts down in numbers. I find the reloading bar too difficult to follow on the standard reticles.

They are easy to install and remove if you don't like them and I would reccomend trying them.

From what i gather physics runs as a sepperate process. Actually getting multicore is never going to happen :(. On an Ivybridge it must be great compared to a single PII core!

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Have you got details or a link of that mod?

Well WG has recently bought out the game-engine, so they might be able to modify it to allow things it previously couldn't do. They certainly have enough money now to employ the kinda people they need to do an engine rebuild.

This is the crosshair mod I use. Has the reload times, and also modifies the artillery interface a little. It includes little lines which show you the limit of your gun's traverse, so you always know if moving right or left a little bit is going to reset your aim.

Hi & Thanks for your reply.

I've just downloaded it and looked through the pdf.

Where do you copy the art-mode to? Or do you just select the crosshair you want from that?

If so, what happens if you play with both tanks and arty?

Regards

Just gave it a go and I like it a lot!!! Great job. :)

Will take a little getting used to and a bit of playing around to get just right for my game play, but once again good work.

See you on the battle field & regards.

just clicked 'join clan', play World of Tanks quite a lot, not the best player around but not the worse either, my World of Tanks name is PLUT0NIUM_235

1. Company and CW lowers your efficiency. You will do less damage and there is hardly any capping.

2. You only need to cap and not play artillary to get 1700 or more efficiency; none of the guys I play with use gold outside CW.

3. EDIT: For me in order for efficiency to work; you need to have grinded your tanks and not bought your way to the top. I have much more respect for players who have played and ground all the bad tanks and still have good efficiency.

1. Only if you are playing as an idiot company.

2. Total rubbish. Artillery does so much damage that it is a very good way to raise your efficiency. Lots of damage done and not much taken = being very efficient. Capping is good for efficiency so you are right there.

3. You are right there pretty much. Players with very high efficiency (1700ish plus) generally bought their way there and probably play their top tanks/tanks they are best at only. Chances are those are not their only accounts.

Can't find the formula from a reliable source but ER=(frags/#battles)x(350-(tier x 20)) + ((damage done/#battles)x(0,2+(1,5/tier))) + (200 x spotted/#battles) + ((capture % + Defence %) x 150 / #battles)

1. Agree but the very good ones are bad for stats too! Everything dies too quickly. 2k seems about average for a tier 10 company as a heavy; lower than I would hope for in a random.

2. No spotting, few kills, damage taken has no bearing. You get maps like himmelsdorf and games where no seems to understand spotting. For me DPB is slightly worse on SPGs but efficiency is much lower when comparing tier Y+2 tanks to tier Y arty. I'll have a look when I get home. Wotlogger or the like can show you easily if you want to have a look.

Find a reliable source for that formula then it'll be all good. :)

1. We'll leave that one as we've both shown our opinions. I tend to be one of the tanks in the thick of it with good companies so I can generally get good experience out of those.

2. Can you link me to WoT Logger? I'd be interested to see.
