Its far too stacked in the defenders favour for my liking. Even a half baked team of morons can defend most of the assault maps, of course you get the occasional team that dissapear to the four corners of the map, get killed then wonder why they lost!
btw, looks like XVM may not work with 8.0 and beyond.

That's just WG saying they won't implement it in native. They can't stop it in mod form because the efficiency is only generated from the publicly available stats.
I think you overestimate how many people use it, its just your tanks dashing good looks with its camouflage that gets you shot
Had a great game against stat padders yesterday. The top 3 tanks on the enemy team were in a platoon and all 3 were purple. ~1800 efficiency, probably using gold ammo. Course I didn't get to face them because our team had a 30% win rate and my Lorraine dinged a T-54 in the tracks at 50m twice for zero damage so it killed me. Must be a coincidence that in a round we were never going to win I got bs'd

Your mistake was thinking you could damage a russian tank
I've had 4 / 5 shots from the 105mm bat gun do nothing to an is7's side at less than 100m once. That was fun.
The other week I shot a Super M26 9 or 10 times in a row, with "penetration" but no damage. Worst part is, he was on 170hp. I had gotten him down from full and bounced most of his shots. Was in a Tiger 2 with the long 105mm. I died in the end :s

Just to chime in that I will also be disabling Assault mode. It is so balanced towards the defenders on most maps that it just isn't any fun.
The 0.8.0 patch looks like its going to be pretty good overall from playing the beta. The object 263 is a tad overpowered though...
Only a tad? Inb4buff. Can't have a russian tank being only slightly overpowered now can we!
and then after saying what I said earlier I had an assault battle last night and we smashed the defenders. All destroyed before we even reached the flag.
Guess it depends on whether the defending team are simpletons or not.
Thats pretty much what we've been saying. Only if the defenders suck do the attackers stand a chance of winning.

Yup, had a game where I killed 9 of them and still lost, I mean wtf if the rest of the team can't kill 6 between them!
i had that a couple of times. 9 kills and still lost

Hmmm.... not a bad special. I guess the t62a will have to wait as I'm likely to spend all my credits on equipment again.

been playing 8.0 this afternoon, have to say this is going to be a great step forward methinks
nothing better than watching 50 tons of steel fly through the air
