** Official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Thread**

Engineering is not a money-making profession and never has been. If you want to make cash from professions, Herbalism/Alchemy with Elixir or Transmutation Mastery is probably the best bet.

I make a lot with enchanting, specifically disenchanting, and creating enchants to stick on the AH, a lot more moeny to be made that way (on my server atleast) than selling the mats. Specifically the wrist enchants (int/str/agi)!

Also have jewelcrafting which is a brilliant money maker, although I am too lazy to spam trade with 'buying ALL your ghost iron ore stacks for X gold just cod me' etc!

Almost touching 100k, which is the amount I wanna enter the next expansion with, whenever that may be.

Not really sure how you have no gold :(

I got about 50k across all chars now and i dont even do many dailies now i am exalted with all.

Only income i have is dungeons and raid LFR along with main raids so maybe do 1 day of quests in 90 area and then a day of LFR should get you a few k gold ?

Well, its mostly as I had a fair bit, 5k or so, to me that is a lot. I did a couple dailies with my paladin, but got bored and focused more on my other characters, mostly my druid. So the gold I got from the leveling process went towards a crafted pvp set for the druid and some enchants. Pvp does not seem to have an income, apart form a very small silver pick up if you loot the person you killed.

A couple enchants and gems cost a fortune, did not realize how I was burning though until I was leveling engi (I mined the ores my self, time/money thing I would prob have saved by doing dailies and buying mats) and got a message that I could not afford the next recipe/skillup from the trainer.

I don't dungeon or raid, which I guess is my fault, I just honestly do not enjoy it. Add in time constraints during the week of max an hour though closer to 30 mins most nights and the weekends I do try to get in a couple hours.

Yeah engi I fear is as you say not a gold maker, but I'm doing it as I have never had a char with engi and it is just fun with some of the things you can make. Maybe when I get around to leveling my priest I will make it herb/alch or something.

In short, at the end of the day, lots of excuses for me being lazy and rather be doing something else then what I should be doing for gold income. Perhaps this week I will drag myself around the rest of pandaland and get the all quest zones completed for storyline sake, even though my paladin has it (I think). Then move onto the thunder isle (which I think is prob the wrong way around of doing it).

Oh my........

Dont know what the drop rate is on this but i got it last night.

We killed Heroic 1st Boss in Thone of Thunder and i hadnt got my Mogu tokens but was told to hearth quickly and they would summon me back.

Entered the Instance and as luck would have it got my bonus roll and got loot :D

The Healing Sword Heroic Thunderforged

I nearly fainted :)

Alright for some lol :D grats

I finally gave up last week. Got sick of having to do dailies each week to get coins and get nothing from it for months and months now. Last count on Lei Shi was 55 loot attempts for the weapon and it never dropped. Normal raids we have been struggling on. We racked up something like 55 wipes on Horridon before killing him. Tortos caused a few problems and we had about 20 wipes on him before finally killing it. Then we got to Durumu and all hell broke loose.

One of the tanks couldn't figure out that you need to move from the boss' hit box on Force of Will and always died, then people kept screwing the light spectrum phase up and either kiting the red beam backwards and forwards so they only revealed 1 or 2 of the adds before the disintegration beam. And one chap always ran the blue beam directly to the blue marker before it spawned wiping us.

Despite raiding from the start of 5.2, in all that time all I got was 1 item from normal raiding, and 2 items from LFR (only a week before I quit). To say this loot system sucks is an understatement!

I'm subs have run out now after cancelling subscription.

I last raided DS. I just didnt have the passion to grind dailies for gear any longer.

If you want to make a bit of cash get alchemy/enchanting/jewelcrafting. Then get the addon tradeskillmaster. I still make a few k each day for a couple of minutes work (mainly from selling cut meta gems), but that's about it now mainly as I'm at about 700K and the meta sales cover gems/enchants for new gear. If you have time/the inclination its not hard to make tons from the shuffle while watching a movie or doing whatever else whilst crafting. Just don't farm stuff, the gold per hour is usually poo in comparison in my experience.

And Senture - I feel your pain - I finally got a dagger from Lei Shi 2 weeks into 5.2 - and then finally got my last power sigil two weeks after that - having got about 25 wisdoms 's ;s And ToT seems to be going the same way, hates my rogue - but chucks weapons at my pally, shaman and warrior every week, gg :/

Finally got Exalted with the Kirin Tor Offensive! (Started doing the PvE dailies and quickly lost interest, then I gave the PvP set a try and just blasted through them)

Now I'm a bit lost though. I think I'll finish up my Klaxxi (only another 9k rep for Exalted), I really want to do Golden Lotus and Shado-Pan but they both seem to be such slow grinds.

Enchanting is great for making money, but you need money to start it off. Mining/JC is a good cash combo as well, but unless you learn a good recipe early on it takes a lot of time to see more return than you'd get from simply selling the mats. Herb/Alchemy is faster because you can sell off your herbs for cash, buy Ghost Iron Bars with the proceeds and transmute Trillium to learn all the recipes in a day.

I'd say its the best expansion since TBC and I was hugely skeptical about this whole panda thing. Blizz have done a very good job with the content and making sure there's something for everyone to do.

The raid difficulty is spot on - the guild I'm in are only 5/12 normal but we feel like were making steady progress and outside of raiding there is a tonne of stuff to be getting busy with. Only thing I'd say is its not very alt friendly unless you have a silly amount of time on your hands :)

^ This.

My hunter has been at 90 for about three weeks or so now and the MoP content has been the most fun since WotLK - never liked TBC that much

Scenarios are great fun and a good return for very little effort and queueing is normally instant. Dungeons are also good fun with no overly silly mechanics (as a casual player, can't beat a good old fashioned tank n' spank), although by comparison, the heroics aren't as difficult as I was expecting, which is a slight disappointment. I've never raided before ever - RL prevents that - so I was pretty chuffed to complete Mogushan Vaults on LFR recently and come out with two bits of purple gear ... I know they're toned down from guild runs and stuff, but it was fun and something I would otherwise not have done. 25 players all nuking the crap out of stuff is insane!

Having played the hunter to death recently, I've taken a break last weekend and started a Shadow Priest with heirloom legs, headgear, cape and shoulders - he's currently about to hit level 31, having got from 1-30 over the course of five hours on Sunday. Never got a toon that high that quickly before - a combination of four 'loom items and spamming dungeons and my self-healing killing machine is going like a train :D

That made even worse by the fact i am 35 years old and i got happy from a loot drop lol

Seems you been unlucky:(

I seemed to get very unlucky raiding MSV and was relying on LFR drops from other instances

My luck changed in TOT for some reason as you can see, i am lacking tier gear but most gear apart from ring and legs both LFR 502 and my shoulders which i am waiting on rep or tier drop.

stick with it surely your luck will change but its easy for me to say that

I have chars with all professions except Tailoring and Enchanting but plan to get a 90 before next game release

I am self farming most of the time and it takes 1 hour here or there to farm mats for any pots flasks etc i need.

Yes you are being a lazy arse :D

Engineering is more In my opinion a half decent raid profession nothing more, you dont make money form it except maybe the gun chants ?

I stopped playing around a year ago, so have missed the MoP expansion, i have 3 characters at lvl85 and 1 on lvl75 on Dragonblight, but tonight have decided to download the 22GB installation and take advantage of a 7 day free play, re-activating my baattle.net account :)

Not quite sure why i stopped playing, i guess i just lost interest at the time, but nothing has filled the gap since, maybe its something i will get back into, fill that void and try to rekindle the love for it again.

I HATE Durumu. I just can't figure out that purple maze thing. I run with the rest of the raid yet I still die, but I cant seem to see any pattern to how they run, it's just not clear at all.

Watched videos online and I still can't decipher it. I always get to that point in the fight and just die.

To be honest, I'm kind of the same.

The path just doesn't seem to display with me most of the time. I think some people have issues with certain graphical drivers/settings because the path is quite clear on the video guide I saw.

My guilds just about to move server we are currently on Chromaggus which has 5,881 Ally 20,465 Horde and its dead, 300 herbs total on the AH, we are looking at Ragnaros as it has 133k players and only 2000 more Horde then Alliance.

On Chromaggus ive levelled a monk from 1-90 between Feb-May and met one other player, whos joined the guild, thats it, The AH for the Alliance is 5 pages long in total, its quite depressing.

Stick 'Zandalari Warscouts' and 'Zandalari Warbringer' into wowhead, they drop tokens which give 1'000 rep in the following reputations, along with a mount, and bags of goodies;

- August Celestial
- The Klaxxi
- Shado-Pan
- Golden Lotus

I got to exalted with August Celestial in a day farming them, starting from honored.

Depending on your server they may or may not be heavily farmed, but if you're lucky just grab 1/2 others and farm them.

The reputation is doubled when you get the revered commendation tokens form each of them, and are also subject to guild bonus' (equating to 2'200 reputation per token!)

As for Golden Lotus, the dailies are great and there are plenty of them to see you get to exalted in maybe 10-14 days, same with Shado-Pan. They also give good gold for how easy and quick they are.

Make sure you run a dungeon, and scenario each day with the reputation you wish selected as the 'bonus' rep (of which is also subject to the double reputation from commendation and guild bonus).

Hope this helps.

We just moved to Ragnaros from Tarren Mill where the faction ratio was 95:5 against us. Pretty good at the moment, good auction house and everywhere is busy with players from both sides. World bosses being killed by both and having some decent fights at them too

Where can you see how many players are in a server?

If you cant see the purple maze on the floor then your PC isnt set up to see something?

Basically its simple:

Some laser beam will shoot out and either rotate left or right at which point purple stuff will form around the boss except right in front of him, as the beam starts to rotate a path will clear for you in front of you the way you have to run away from the beam.

Any slowing down will cause you to get hit by the beam and messing up the maze will cause you to die :D

Its nothing offical (Blizz will never reveal actual server population figures), essentially 3rd party software used to garner pops etc. Realmpop.com is the latest one I believe.
