Well, its mostly as I had a fair bit, 5k or so, to me that is a lot. I did a couple dailies with my paladin, but got bored and focused more on my other characters, mostly my druid. So the gold I got from the leveling process went towards a crafted pvp set for the druid and some enchants. Pvp does not seem to have an income, apart form a very small silver pick up if you loot the person you killed.
A couple enchants and gems cost a fortune, did not realize how I was burning though until I was leveling engi (I mined the ores my self, time/money thing I would prob have saved by doing dailies and buying mats) and got a message that I could not afford the next recipe/skillup from the trainer.
I don't dungeon or raid, which I guess is my fault, I just honestly do not enjoy it. Add in time constraints during the week of max an hour though closer to 30 mins most nights and the weekends I do try to get in a couple hours.
Yeah engi I fear is as you say not a gold maker, but I'm doing it as I have never had a char with engi and it is just fun with some of the things you can make. Maybe when I get around to leveling my priest I will make it herb/alch or something.
In short, at the end of the day, lots of excuses for me being lazy and rather be doing something else then what I should be doing for gold income. Perhaps this week I will drag myself around the rest of pandaland and get the all quest zones completed for storyline sake, even though my paladin has it (I think). Then move onto the thunder isle (which I think is prob the wrong way around of doing it).
