I'm in the same position too, stopped raiding 3 weeks ago, subscription runs out November. I won't be renewing and probably won't get the expansion when it eventually appears. Not enjoying the content/grind and the Timeless Isle was the last straw. I could have just raided and done nothing else but don't feel I should be in our Raid team when I have no inclination to do dailies, run LFR/Flex etc when other people in the Guild are on most days.

Think I've done it to death now, so many other games I've finally got around to playing since I quit, it's quite liberating once you escape the 'Sunken Cost Fallacy' :D
 
i purchased the virtual ticket myself, found the price fine. Your basically paying for 2 days Pay Per View entertainment, you get virtual pets and in game goodies plus discounts for online store, seems like good value for me.

Granted you can probably watch blizzcon full on some dodgy sites when its aired but im a sucker for a nice battle pet :p

Its interesting that we havent had any leaks this Blizzcon so were unsure about the next wow expansion.

Now that they have revealed what Heroes of the storm was thats ruled out, so its either gonna be The Dark Below or something completely unknown.

Cant wait for it.
 
i still think its a 50/50 whether teh dark below was a double bluff by blizzard, not long to wait and see :)

Theres absolutely no news about the new expansion so far, highly doubt there will be new races or classes, i expect the updated char models will feature even if its only a few at first
 
They did keep the MOP revealing pretty quiet. I'd be very surprised if they did bring a new expansion out this quick.

Think this blizzcon will be more focused on the D3 expansion and no doubt some big update or release for Hearthstone
 
on the blizzcon store which you get access to with virtual ticket they are selling lots of items, including the official Blizzcon Tshirt. Now last year they didnt let you see the tshirt before blizzcon itself because it had a panda on it and that was a massive spoiler to be released before blizzcon.

However this time they have released the tshirt for sale before blizzcon and its got a huge image of Garrosh on it. New expansion continuing in the garrosh story? Who knows, or maybe just releasing the tshirt early as it relates to siege of ogg.

Lovin that mists of pandaria majong set tho :p

They appear to be speeding up WoW expansions. They know the game is getting old and losing players, I think they'll do one next year for the 10th Anniversary and one in late 2015 to wrap it up.

Well seeing as Garrosh was confirmed to be the last boss of this expansion, they're going to be in trouble if they don't announce an expansion. Even if they pull a TBC style last boss out of the hat they won't win any praise.

Yeah they are, think I read somewhere they wanted to keep it to 18months. Ballpark figure, ofc.
 
Just got 7 days free via an email from Blizzard. Finished my 30 days with FFXIV yesterday so the timing is just right.

I've just spent about an hour on my lvl 31 warlock and was surprised how easy it was to pick it up after several months away. Been kicked from my guild though so is there anyone else playing this still on Argent Dawn? I had about a dozen whispers with guild invites whilst I was on but would prefer one with any OCUK bods if there's a guild.
 
I think the next expansion will be 90-100 and will be the last. Then i'm not sure if we'll either:

Get a fresh WoW game on the same engine but with the lore advanced a stage.
Get a fresh WoW game on a brand new next gen engine.
Get a totally different MMO with Blizzard working on Warcraft 4 to advance the Universe along.

I'd like to see the third option with a WoW 2 in a few years, alas I think they'll plump for the first so that they can start the money farm all over again.
 
Agreed, it wont be the last just look at other MMO's and how they continue to churn expacs out for much older games. They are already working on another MMO too, its just in its 3rd iteration as they keep scrapping it.

Warcraft 4 in a few years?? No chance.
 
not sure i can last through another expansion??!!

spent so long gearing various chars i cant face it again!

This >7m active subs still equates to a massive profit for Blizzard. They'll milk it for a good few more years until it dwindles further and further and then they can look at other options.

People tend to go full retard when speaking about WoW - it's always dead/dying when the statistics are easily there to refute that. Sure they're not the 12m active subs that late TBC, WOTLK had but still plenty.
 
I am looking forward to it really, I have a main that I concentrate on for PvP then another for PvE. Just leveled my monk ready for a change lol
 
Everquest 1 still gets expansions. WoW will get them as long as there is a profit in it and since Titan was sent back to the drawing board they don't have any "replacement" for a while.
