Been jumping online, farming heroics for JP and converting them to honor, just 2 rings and the weapon off full season 15 welfare gear.

I wouldn't be holed to do LFR or join a guild at this stage, so some BG's and arenas will pass my casual play style until the expansion.

I get instant ques with my prot warrior so it shouldnt take long, but the level 90 boost must be doing well, im constantly in groups with people who have just used it.

Let's say you have a top level character guys, where do you go from there? And no abbreviations :P

You go to Timeless Island, open all chests for Item Level 497 items. You then join Looking For Raid (LFR), starting with the early ones. When you finish a raid, you get access to the next one, assuming you have the minimum item level.

As you progress in LFR, you get more items, your total Item Level increases and you can aim for Normal/Heroic Raids which are more difficult and require a guild.
 
I see, so for a dirty casual like me, LFR is a god send?

As when I finally get some free time I will have semi decent gear to jump in on and not be a total noob.
 
I was farming Heroic Dungeons the last couple of days for JP for Wrath rep tokens and the amount of people using HC's to gear actually made me depressed for them, the amount of time they were wasting. Timeless Isle can have you almost fully 496 in less than an hour if you find a tomtom macro on wowhead. Only a weapon and a second trinket (if you get lucky enough to get the trinket item on timeless isle) and you'd be sorted to almost walk into SoO.

496 from timeless? Think I was maybe 480 after getting every chest, using the burden and buying 2 daggers with timeless coins. Kept getting duplicate items. LFR has geared me up quite quickly and at 511 now, should be starting flex soon with the guild. Oh and I do the occasional heroic scenario for some 516 gear as there isn't much to do on timeless now.
 
This game has seemingly lost most interest for me. My guild is pretty much on hiatus until WoD whilst playing LoL and D3.

I did mention in here but if anyone has a slot in Flex/Norm for a 454+ Disc Priest or Fury Warrior then add me a on BattleTag. More than happy to do an occasional raid if I am around but little interest in trying to push my guild back into raiding until WoD.

454 Item level you should be raiding Dragon Soul with that :D

We spent 3 hours wiping on Spoils Hc the other night for the whole raid to get locked out on HC and no kill, not enough DPS.....

my hunter alt has got up to around 550 ilvl and contemplating the legendary quest. Will I have to backtrack through all the early lfr's collecting things again or can I do just do SoO?

If you want to get the Sigils ASAP then you can do the old LFR's, they have a really high drop chance now and are also dropped in ToT/SoO. Other than that it's only ToT and SoO for Secrets/Runestones.
 
Forgot how much fun outdoor pvp is after a small stint ganking an orc rogue who was preying on low levels who were exiting battlegrounds.

Sorry meant nearly ful 496 items, since you can get every slot except second trinket and weapon if you're lucky. I've done them on multiple alts so had quite a collection of items when they double up. I got lucky once and had 2 burden's drop from moss covered chests so that was 3 535 items for one character which makes a huge difference. Naturally it's completely RNG but if you're lucky you walk into SoO after an hour.

Was having a whinge, if people cant drop bombs and not stand in **** then they shouldnt be raiding

Knob heads, didnt go to bed in best of moods lol
