I think they can only join a guild once they choose horde/alliance. As for heirlooms, I think they can get them as soon as they find a mailbox.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Wouldn't mind giving the expansion a go, quit during the end of wotlk now my guilds disbanded too (Ocuk on shattered halls) Had 7 days free and I've forgotten how to play my mage effectively - Rather annoying since playing from launch. :(

Got all classes up to 80+ bar the monk, so opinions wanted if the monks are worth it? I'm totally out of the loop!

On a side note anyone play on Shattered Halls? The servers well dead! Wouldn't mind joining a friendly social guild. Raiding every night really took it's toll back in wotlk.

Why is it funny?

I know many a mediocre player (not suggesting the guy you've quoted is) to have gone onto world top 20 kills, it isn't exactly difficult once you know how the fight works usually and people stop doing dumb stuff.

It's funny boasting about a world top 20 kill like it means something :rolleyes:

It means he could've been quite good and was in top 20 out of 100s of guilds racing to get there, not that bad of an achievement.

By the way can people stop using :rolleyes: as if to imply the person is stupid or something you are talking to, makes you look less intelligent
 
Looks like my thread is still doing ok, shame I cancelled my subsciption 2 weeks ago. My pre-order from OcUK turned up on Tuesday, will probably give it a go in a few months.

You said you hadn't played since before Cataclysm came out?
 
So......did anyone have any hints as to why I'm so rubbish at dps on my fury warrior? I could possibly use some pointers in the way of which skills to always spam or a sensible rotation/list of the best stats top to bottom for levelling 87-90
 
Hit 88 last night, levelling is soo tedious. Don't think after I hit 90 I'll have the willpower in me to level alts..
