** Official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Thread**

But for the average casual Raider who will only raid twice a week i can add to my Gear through grinding which was what WOW is all about.

There’s a difference between an optional grind and a required grind though, people shouldn’t be shoehorned into being required to do a daily quest grind to even begin raiding in this day and age. Besides I thought dailies were there to get people out into the world rather than turtle up in faction capitals? Or is it so people know the story? I forget as Blizzard keep changing their mind over why dailies are being forced upon people...

I have been raiding weekly since MOP, except maybe the 1st couple and still have 2 Greens because i have been unlucky in dungeons ?

Raiding has always been like that? Not sure what your point is? Go grind more badges!

Is farming VP any different to getting epics from LFR?

Of course it is, for one the LFR tool is there for people to see the content and achieve a certain ‘quality’ % of gear. (It’s lower than what you can get via VP anyway?) Becuase you klnow, the % of people that raid in a 'proper' enviorment is quite low in the grand scheme of things. VP gear is there so casual’s such as yourself can get gear without having to put up with lousy RNG on drops.

Do you have to do the dailys to be able to enter the normal mode raids then? or are you refering to needing to get the epics to raise your gearscore to get accepted in to normal raids?

I finally got the last Sigil of Wisdom I needed and got the quest item from the Sha of Fear, so I now have my legendary +500 strength gem. Shame I don't have a Sha Touched weapon to put it in yet though..

Already hit revered with the Black Prince, so am now starting the quest to earn 6k valor points. 6 weeks worth of grinding....at least :/

I found this old screenshot on my HDD earlier:

You dont need to Grind Vp to get epics to Raid though do you ;) 463 is the heroics drop and you can raid with that :D

My point is that i like to grind rep and getting VP to help me get gear instead of face rolling heroics which i find boring and tedious is better for some people then others.

Your argument is flawed though cause back in the day  you needed to just do a LFR in SW or IF to get into a pug raid for 40 man, i have no interest in doing bosses on easy mode to then go on normal mode. Been trying to do casual Raid and Heroic Raid for the last 2 years and its a big jump between the 3, massive in fact

LFR is a complete waste of my time as are heroics:)

wtf is it with the rolleyes etc in your posts? Makes it hard to understand what you are trying to say.

The gear from klaxxi and Lotus (is it) are needed to raid with as you can't get better elsewhere.

LFR isn't really intended for people like you though (i.e in a raid guild).

Pugging in previous expansions....You weren't around during Vanilla or BC were you, in fact I would say you weren't around during LK either.

In vanilla 40 man pugs just didn't exist (or were super rare, as in 1 maybe 2 per month if your server was amongst the top 10 or 20) ZG pugs maybe, right at the end of the expansion. In BC, once again SSC/BT/MH/TK/SWP weren't pugged, the 10 mans were, as was Gruul + Maggy (once again right at the death of the expansion lifecycle). Pugging in LK (LFM Ulduar - GS 5000 + link achieve pls!)

All of the VP gear is the same level gear you get out of MV, HoF and Terrace are higher item level drops. All is 489, the new gear from the invasion scenario thing is 496 i think.

I dinged 60 1 week before TBC and whilst i was leveling used to see Pug groups for MC etc in fact 1 of my last things i nearly did 2 days before TBC was to go on a pug to MC but hadnt done the prequest.

I am not trying to say anything but my needs have changed with regards to the game and if it wasnt for VP id still be sitting with 90% green and Blue although not being a hardcore guild means we only raid 3 X a week for 3 hours and me only 2 times plus 10 man with people with underrated and non chanted gear is not helping.

I been playing thee game for nearly 6 years if not longer and raided end game in everything except Vanilla thanks :p

Just hit 90 on my first character, dont know what to do now :S

I don't know if i can be bothered to do daily quests to get rep as i only really have 1-2 hours of game time on an evening. I have never really done PVP in any of the other expansions so im thinking of giving that a go but i can't say it's making me want to log in.

PvP is fun if you're in a good team. AV is to this day my favourite BG and I'm exalted with the StormPike Guard on 5 chars. But all the others are fun too if with the right team.

As I don't want to get involved in raiding or guilds again, I enjoying pugging, BG's, levelling profs, making (and losing) tons of gold. Farming for vanity mounts, crafting ridiculous looking gear, playing alts, trying different specs, rep farming obscure factions, taking my 85 rogue hunting for unsuspecting Horde. Just whatever I fancy. Recently I dusted off my 84 Pally again along with my 67 Horde warlock and I'm slowly levelling them.

Doesn't sound like much but I come from a very high level raiding guild (EU top 10 at some point) back in LK and every minute of WoW time was taken up with others' needs and the greater good of the guild. It felt like a job.

Now it feels like the possibilities are endless! :p

Hi everyone, I'm Kamwah.

I have been WoWsober for about a year now.

Today I felt the urge to buy MoP and start again when I saw the Blizzard Xmas Sale and in HMV it was £15.

If I restarted it would consume me. Maybe it will happen.

What are the queue times like now? How long is an average queue for a battleground, and for a heroic queuing as a tank, and just as a DPS?

Since nobody answered;
BG queues are almost insta pop most of the time
Heroic tanking queue is basically insta pop (with lots of BoA satchels)
DPS I think is around 7~ mins
