Agreed, I was glad to get the chance to play in the alpha anyway and if someone did break the NDA in a way where we were all banned from it then I can understand Blizzard's point of view as well. I'm just glad it wasn't something I did while in-game. :)

No. Was breaking the NDA ie revealing information about the alpha which was not allowed under the agreement.
 
You lot broke the NDA by constantly talking about simply being in the beta. I can't see why everyone fails to grasp this incredibly simple concept.

Although to be fair, it seems one of the people who got invited did the equivalent of loading the NDA into a cannon and firing it into the sun, causing everyone to be flagged.

lol, despite the ban Im still very grateful, I was able to see what I wanted to and regardless of the ban I really apprecaite the invite.
Would never have broken the NDA whilst participating, would be a real slap in the face for someone who was kind enough to invite me in the first place.

Then surely Colin broke the NDA by offering us access. I don't think he would have posted it here if he thought that simply talking about it would cause anyone he invited to be banned.
 
Thanks for the update Colin, it's good to know what actually happened. Hopefully you can find the guy who did it and deal with it appropriately.

I got a beta invite this morning and my account has been reactivated for Cata PTR :D

Twas banned up until then, so something is happening

I had an email saying similar but thought it was one of those fake ones so deleted it lol.

However if i install again all should be fine? or do i have to enable something on account? i was in Cataclysm Alpha so i am guessing it should be this way?
 
Guys I have been unbanned as well, just logged into the beta servers.
I did not recieve any email saying I got reinvited or unbanned, I just tried it, after seeing all the recent messages on this thread - Worth checking imo.
 
Cba to install the client, as I'll likely still be banned, but I'll try and log into the beta forums and let you know how it goes. Don't hold your breath though.

Edit - "You have no active Catalysm Beta Accounts Attached". So still banned here then.
