***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

Just had a pretty good pug group for icc 10 where the group learned how to do festergut and rotface with abit of a dodgy setup. Me (on my resto shaman) and a holy priest 2 healed the first six bosses. Sure we wiped a good few times but the items we all got from it (everyone got atleast something!) actually feel earned lol.

I would honestly advise anyone thinking of starting/re-subbing or re-rolling WoW right now to hang fire until Cataclysm.

I, on the other hand would advice people to start now so that they don't feel like they have to race to 85 in Cataclysm, WoW is still great and while people may moan about 'easy content' WoTLK actually has 2 of the hardest fights in the history of WoW.

I think people concentrate on either hardcore raiding or hardcore PvP nowadays that they seem to forget there are other aspects of the game, questing is continuously getting better and better with more depth.

Yet they are optional and are not needed to progress through raiding tiers unlike TBC for example.

Lets be honest about HM LK 25. I havent looked at WoW progress for a while but i guess 50 guilds in the world that have cleared it. Thats with full 277 gear and 15% buff. Thats not a fight i could be bothered banging my head against the wall, the fights in BWL and AQ40 were doable because you hadnt spent the last 5 months doing the same fights all over again. There is a tuning problem now in WoW. Its either faceroll easy, medium or so damned boringly hard that most of the player base gives up from sheer boredom

Yeah I think it is, just got a new PC and turend everything to max, porbably put that on aswell :p

:EDIT:

Yep thats it thanks, turned it off and it jumped straight up to 130+ fps in The Storm Peaks. Put it back on though due to me having an older 24" screen and getting some tearing.

Is it me or is there a severe imbalance in difficulties between HM bosses in ICC?

I just can't understand why Deathwhisper is considerably harder than Saurfang, surely that can't be right.

Done 10/12 on Normal ICC 10 man with me 2 mates and rest of group pug.

Pretty decent though some of the bosses couldve been more challenging.

Deathwhisper is fairly easy once ppl learn to avoid the ghosts or you get a big buff and you can pretty much not die even if the ghosts hit you.

You got about 6 easy hard modes, 2 tricky ones, 2 hard ones then LK miles out in front.

Deathwhisper was the hardest for our guild so far, currently at 9/12 heroics attempting sind tomorrow.

The main reason it was hard is that Some people just didn't understand the concept of avoid the ghosts, most would just stay in melee or just stand in the path of the ghost, basically wiping us.

Once people decided to buck up, we got it down in 2 attempts.

And yea Icc is a walk in the park on normal mode and most heroics now with the 20% buff.

Heck i even healed icc 10 on my newly dinged priest yesterday.

I'm a bit bored of ICC now, farming 11/12 with my rogue on 25 HC and then drilling out the remaining attempts 40-50 on LK HC which is epicly challenging but not seemingly killable.

Any hunters that do PVP or arena able to give me tips?

Im horrible in PVP.

Plus rolled a priest the other day currently just about 16, really good class big difference from hunter.

There isn't a massive difference between the two so if it's a question of currently gearing up through emblems grab Virulence now and Hanged man once you have 4 set bonus or more.
The actual difference between the two depends on what you're doing really and what fight you're on, hanged man is superior on straight up dps fights like saurfang, BQL, festergut.

Whereas virulence gives you better uptime of a +str bonus in situations where you are not able to keep the stacking buf from hanged man which is helpful in a lot of fights from marrowgar To LK and even helps out in times where there is rng involved i.e. getting an ooze on rotface.

same here, clear 11/12 hc in one night then run our faces into lk... very boring.

We currently have all HM's down except Putri, Sindra and LK, it's not like we are just starting. I was just wondering why Deathwhisper HM is, imo, a lot harder than say Blood Queen or Saurfang, it just seems like lazy game design and a "Lets just increase their stats to make the hardcore gamers happy" mentality, rather than taking the time to make harder fights.

Hey guys.

Just wondering if there is anyone here kind enough to pay my WoW sub for me and I will BT or Paypal them £15 on Wednesday when I get money from my Dad into my bank account.

Would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Ben
