I did it many months back and I believe since then Blizzard brought out the nerf bat and you no longer need the reps all at the same time. That plus making the Dire Maul key stay in your keyring when you zone out are all a bit irritating. I don't get why they'd put in a hard achievement (dull) and then make it easier till it becomes the new Jenkins title.

Was something to pass the time anyway :)
 
The big river has it as well. Pre-orders are go! The retail shops dont have the codes yet mind you but expect them any time now.

Well this was fast - pre orders on the site mentioned above my post already full :P

So I did a ZG run last night with a friend for rep and mounts. He wants the Tiger I want the Raptor. Speeds things up a lot more on clearing the place.
Its also really awsome because he doesnt want rep so I get all the coins and such :D I went from half way to honored to nearly revered in one run which was sweet.

No mounts drop though so going to go again tonight. It was amazing loads of people going to ZG again though :D so many people hanging around the raid entrance. Even went I went to go hand in the coins the Zandler Island was packed with people doing hand ins and such :p

We used to struggle to Hakkar with just 2 people. But it was real easy so nice to fly through it.

Oh I also pre-ordered the CE too. One from the river place, one from the station and one from er the free uk shipping place :p So hopefully one will show up on release day

tbh it wouldnt surprise me if they do just remove the mounts. As mentioned they have taken out things like this before a la amani bear (Which I would really like) and even titles like Hand of A'dal. The result load of people moan and whine, blizz go tough its happening and people carry on playing anyways.

If they do make it easier to get them mounts, blizz will just get another up roar of people saying how unfair it is because they had to spend ages grinding etc etc

Ah, the Amani Bear. Nearly caused a guild split. A group of us had been trying and failing for months to make the 4th timer, when suddenly we succeeded. We succeeded twice a week. Suddenly everyone wanted in on the action. Nobody was interested when we failed and spent tons of gold and time failing, they was only interested when success came. By then the removal of the mount was also announced getting everyone into a frenzy.

People that wasn't helping at the failing stages was told to **** off and shut it. One bloke even tried and hack our website so he can change the his sign up history to prove he had always signed up for the ZA runs. A bidding system was introduced where we took one new person from our guild a week and sold a run for 8k on the realm forums every week. On the last run of the removal a guildie bid 17k gold and a place was sold on the forums for 22k gold. Naturally only DPS places was sold and tanks and healers was utterly pivotal in there. I was pala tanking it.

That mount (which I have on two chars) made us around 128k gold, iirc. Eveyone wanted it.

They should bring it back.

Pre ordering from the big river guarantees nothing - they have bad rep for taking on loads of pre orders and fulfilling only part of them. Unless you were one of the first people to get it there I'd expect an email apologising for not being able to send you your copy.

As for the other shop - the way I heard (and I live with an ex employee of that company) they are actually really good about sending out stuff early, so people can enjoy the games on release date.
 
Whenever i have ordered from the high street store it always turns up before the release date.

Infact when WotLK was released i was running around northrend about 11:00pm the day before release.
 
might be due to some websites getting stock a bit early and people getting them delivered a day before, pretty sure i remember some guildies back then already rolling DK's on the evening before

I don't recall any server downtime at Wraths launch. Our guild were doing a farewell BT run in hope of grabbing another freebie Warglaive, someone did a random "/who borean" and that was that.
Had my DK out of the starting zone just after 00:00 and was in Northrend the following evening.

TBC launch however, wasn't so smooth....

Hmm searched for Cataclysm and got that message, searched for World of Warcraft and was still showing and was able to order

Yes you would only have been able to access Northrend at 11pm (1hr before shops started selling it in the UK).

Even though you had the game a day or even a few days prior to release, any avid player will remember the ZEPS were not enabled until 11pm, so getting to Northrend was impossible prior to it.
