Oh Dear, more ATI 58xx mysteries!!

I for one dont understand why kylew has to point out every little seplling mitsake, i think its a pet hate he has as everyday you will see kylie posting about poeples mistakes, what a wahste of time

:D:D

Where did the mocking occur? Pointing out doesn't equate mocking.

(Worser isn't a word)

i know some people who are dyslexic, including my brother (not saying gareth is, i dont know), i for one dont think "pointing" out little mistakes like this is funny.

we dont all carry thesaurus's with us

what a wahste of time

that was left on purpose ;)

It in fact is a pet hate, we all have them and most of us have moans about our pet hates.

If you've read the thread, you'll realise that far more people have cards that work fine than those who have problems.

In fact, get a 5850 instead, 5870s aren't worth their asking price.

and to add my opinion, depending on what resolution you game at, a 5770 is a bargain at present, even crossfire 5770 is a bargain compared to 5850 and 5870, and theres been a lot less issues with the lower end of the 5000 series card, that could be due to not selling as many though but i have no idea how many have been sold

i wouldnt put people off buying these cards, some have success with them more then others, when mine has worked its been a cracking card - just realise you may encounter some problems.

anyway my mates gonna let me try it in his pc but will be friday or saturday, so will give my results then.

I have had the Gigabyte 5850 for a few weeks now ,running on windows 7 64bit and 9.10 offical drivers,no issues with the fan and no boot issues, i have had a couple of lock ups in L4D2 demo and an hour or two of gaming ,but cant say if that is card related. One thing i have had, is that i left my system just idling, for and hour or two and the gadget bar had become blured, i restarted ,and it was then fine with no more issues since, but that looked card related to me.

Which goes without saying does it not?

People have issues with hardware full stop.

When you buy computer hardware, just realise that you MAY encounter some issues.
