Ok so I have designed something - now for the big time

ok if you need an update here it is:

The one I have a deal on is currently in manufacture, will be released at next years Toy fair, so only then I can tell you what it is.

In fact I am working on it right now!

The other one is still under option, and I expect to hear news any day now.

Busy busy busy!

Hi,

The confirmed deal is probably not for little girls :-)

In total the concepts have generated about £60,000 income in their journey to reality - I only got a little bit tho' ;-(

Howdy!

Well a few updates!

The 1st concept I posted about has been through 2 major manufacturers, and passed on for 2012 - so I have parked it and concentrating on other stuff.

I have been busy with 2 new ideas, both of which will be out in 2012.

So you guys will find out on Jan 24th what they all are, when they are launched at Toy fair 2012 :-)

I hope you guys are impressed, been loads of work for a year now!

Problem with inventors, they will keep inventing and inventing but never spend enough time on the first one and will eventually do nothing and lose money and probably go bankrupt.

It is my job to design new stuff... What you said is a bit like a mechanic only ever fixing one car.

All my stuff gets finished ready for manufacture.

I've attended the entire duration of the London Toy Fair in a professional capacity (wooden toy manufacturer) for the last 4 years running.

If I'm still in the same job by next January (have some big plans of my own that might change that) I'm going to come and see these inventions in person.

I'm definitely intrigued as to what you could have come up with - the toy industry is actually somewhat dull in terms of innovation in recent years - most new concepts involve electronics, licensing or simple rehashes of yesteryear's toys.

If you've managed to invent a new concept that involves none of the above then you have my greatest respect.

So maybe I'll see you there, our stand is always at the front of the main entrance and impossible to miss.

.

Hey hey, Do you work for John Crane per chance?

As for the toy industry, yes it is dull and full of churn and copying! I hope to try to inject some new awesomeness into it.

One of my ideas does not contain any "electronics" but allows you do do some very cool stuff!

Not John Crane, though they are rivals of ours - we're not as well known but higher end and more prominently placed than they are at that show and at a bigger stand too.

No need to for others to know who I work for so I wont say, but I will keep tabs on this topic closer to the time and drop you a line then, it definitely will be good to check your inventions out.

.

Ok, cool.

Will be interesting for sure nearer the time :-)

Bumperoo!

Ok last few months have been a bit bonkers. Stuff is really gearing up now.

At the moment I have a whole pile of uber geeky gadgets and toys due for release next year.

As soon as I can I will spill the beans on stuff :-)

It will be cool - honest.

Ok a little update.

One of the things (there are a few coming out 2012) I have designed is this:

For those of you that remeber Bigtrak, this is the next version due for summer 2012 :-) Not too much can be said about it's capabilities or how it looks just yet.

Check out the facebook page as there is some stuff there.

It does have apps and a computer link up now, rather than just 16 commands and a keypad :-)

That is all I can say now, there are 2 more that are in production and hopefully I can tell you about those soon.

Can I ask you guys that if you like the idea of a new cool Bigtrak, can you click the "like" on Facebook.

This helps the manufacturer with the retailers, especially if there is pre-interest in the item.

Plus tell your mates who may be interested :-)

Cheers.
