I could see the advantages of the program if you required a lot of stamina say like in the armed forces or something, but I agree with you dun, that for the normal person it has no applicable purpose...
We did this before, I can do between 75 and 80 push ups in a minute, and used to be able to do 90 sit ups in a minute.
And before people start posting about how they dont think thats the case, the world record for sit ups is 196 in a minute, and the record for the most push ups in 30 seconds is 102.
So I've a bit to go yet.
I saw this earlier and decided to give it a whirl - 73 pushups the first time, which is quite a nice surprise as I am your typical lazy slob who has no regard for his diet or physical condition. I suppose my young age has a lot to do with this (I know a lot of you are old geezers)
edit: I really should add: do some stretching afterwards! You'll be sorry if you don't.
