One Plus 9

So they have confirmed the Hasselblad partnership and March 23rd 2pm GMT for the launch of the 9 series.

Going to wait for some real world reviews to see if it's worth getting and if the camera is finally something decent as it's the only thing that lets down OP phones.

The 8 Pro main and wide angle camera are on par with anything Samsung and all has to offer. Not pixel level, but then no one is.

The non pro models were average performers.
 
Well my Note 8 screen has just lunched itself so I've ordered a OnePlus 8 Pro from Amazon.

Hopefully the 9 Pro is great but I suspect it'll be a lot more than £600, so I think I'm OK with the decision.
 
Looks like we know the sensor the 9 series will be using...
OnePlus also disclosed it will fund and develop four R&D imaging labs in the US and Japan. In addition, the OnePlus 9 series will debut a custom Sony IMX 789 sensor with dual native ISO, full-pixel omnidirectional focusing, real-time HDR video shooting, and 4K@120fps video capture. The OnePlus 9 series will also bring a freeform lens, panoramic camera with 140 field of view and T-lens technology for fast focus results on the front facing camera.

They have released some ultra wide photos and they do look great, but off course should be taken with a pinch of salt until some independent reviews release photos.

Everything is looking promising so far, just a couple more weeks of waiting.

Yes they both have the same main sensor, IMX789. I think the same ultra wide too, but different 3rd, and the Pro has a 4th.

65W wired charging and 50W wireless charging... I love the sound of that considering my 6T is 20W and the Sammy S21U is 25W...

If the camera lives up to the hype, phone performs well in benchmarks, battery is at least half decent (only needs to be half decent with those charge speeds!), and gets priced at £799, then the 9 Pro really could end up being the best all round phone.

Seems a bit too good to be true so obviously something will let it down :p

Definitely looks good, although I would probably get the morning mist. Would love the blue from the 9 on the Pro.

Pete Lau has been non stop hyping up the 9 Pro camera. This is one tweet where there are 3 pics for a blind test. #2 is obviously the best, so I'm assuming it's the 9 Pro. I hope the other two are IP12M and S21U...

I'm with you on the silver, looks very premium.

The camera is shaping up to be a decent upgrade. Let's see how it fares.

Looks like there'll be a 512GB variant this year, 3 storage SKUs presumably.
 
So received email just now from OP about a 9 series bundle available from tomorrow.. £40 for a OnePlus hat, backpack and £40 off 9 series phone voucher.

The hat looks ridiculous, the backpack actually looks good, so it's tempting to get it for free basically, assuming end up ordering the 9 Pro.

Interestingly it states if you return the hat and backpack, you still keep the voucher. Not sure if this means you would therefore not get the £40 refunded.

I'm assuming so there will also be a pre order deal with some wireless buds included. OP phone, buds, backpack, hat all being used at same time would make a funny pic :D.

I might do the same, depends if they have the same pre order deals as on the OP site.

What did you end up doing with your S21U? I held mine in my hand for 5 mins and knew I wasn't going to keep it, felt too much like a top heavy brick, awkward to hold so returned it couple days later.

Hopefully the OP9P will be more streamlined.
