I'm coming from a P20 Pro which is 6.1 and not had any pocket related issues.
What I meant was that it's ridiculous for a company like Apple, Samsung, OP spend so much on their internal tech/internal sound stuff (no DAC now, obviously) and then stick a terrible quality, cheap DAC on the end of it. It's like buying a Ferrari and sticking wooden wheels on it for anyone who cares a bit about the quality of their audio.I don't think anyone claims it has all the bells and whistles. (snip) Missing a 3.5mm jack isn't all that big a deal to the vast majority too. Unfortunately, you're in the minority and there's a cheap simple fix to it.

It's just very convenient that all phone manufacturers ditch the headphone jack and then at the same time come out with new overpriced wireless headphones. I won't pretend I'm not in the minority though, you're correct on that point.
Because a good one is £100+. I think it's a totally valid argument to complain about having to buy a £100+ device to get the same audio quality as you did on older models no?

That's my point. There is no progression. If we got rid of the wires and improved audio quality that would be fine. But like I've said, it's a step backwards. People didn't use wifi in their home until it worked well and reliably enough to replace ethernet cables. With BT headphones we're in the stage now where the choice is being taken away, even though it's still inferior.What? Where is this in the rules? I'm going to say... There's not a fix, there is a workaround. A workaround that requires a separate piece of hardware to be carried around and prevents charging of the device at the same time.
Nearly all the announcements for the Nord had the buds mentioned in the same piece or as the next piece. They were also released at the same time. They would struggle to sell their own corded headphones cause people already own a decent pair or use a cheap pair as they've been around for decades rather than being a relatively new thing.
They did not think that. And if they did then they did a crap job of implementing it. There are many phones of similar size with 5000+ mah batteries and jacks from the likes of Xiaomi and Samsung.
If you want the equivalent with a 3.5 jack then the mi 10 lite is the phone for you. I'd be all over the 10 lite if it had 12GB of ram available. And maybe a slightly better CPU.^ we get it @Disco_P . You're annoyed it hasn't got a headphone jack

I was a fan of the Sony compacts for that very reason they were the only Android like that, and now they ditched it tooOP lost my support when they took the p*** out of Apple for ditching it then promptly followed suit. It's nothing more than a marketing ploy for wireless buds. If someone came out with a 5.5" tall phone with midrange specs and decent software (OxygenOS or Android One) it'd sell like hotcakes.
The only glimmer of hope is that they mentioned there will be 'other' Nord variations. Perhaps this is the "premium" Nord model and they'll bring out a smaller, more budget version?
Do not like using MIUI. Too much bloatware and Ads. Got use to using Android One, prefer the near pixel experiance.
