OnePlus One.

Arghhh I've got an invite but out of the country. Is there a way to defer or is there an option to pay for a specified delivery date? (so that I can ask someone to receive it for me)

As the only payment method offered is by PayPal I think they insist that the delivery address is the same as the payers confirmed address.

If however you go for the 'standard' delivery option (which is usually the quickest anyway), it will be delivered by Royal Mail, who will usually leave a card if there is no one there to receive it, as it does have to be signed for.

Not sure how long they will hold it for though, which might be a problem if you are going to be away for some time.

I am not aware of any way to specify a specific delivery day unfortunately.

Not sure what the issues is with BT pairing, but no issues with pairing and my G watch R..

The only thing I'm not completely happy with is the camera, coming from an S4 its not as good inside or in low light imo.

But I can live with it.

Yes the camera doesn't seem to be fantastic inside, there is a noticeable difference between its quality and that of my G2. I have yet to test outdoor shots but I suspect they will be very good. I imagine that the low light performance might be due to the CM camera app and I seem to remember that you can upgrade/change the camera app somehow when rooted, is anyone able to shed any light on this?

So far, only the battery life and camera don't exceed that of my G2 and there really isn't that much difference in battery life. Everything else is better on the OPO; I am extremely happy with this phone and having 64gb compared to 16gb in the G2 is liberating.

Does anyone know of an app or something to give the OPO an automatic battery saving scheme for when battery life gets below X%?

Oh yeah outdoor and the pictures are really good, just as good as teh S4 but not as saturated. + RAW too. ;)

But low light it struggles...

Since updating to 44s, I can't see how to take a screenshot.
Anyone know how ?

re: battery life.

I easily get 2.5 days out of a single charge and that is commuting to and from work using facebook and 3 out of 5 days watching some TV show.

Amazing really.

VEry happy with the phone.

I can add now after another charge cycle that the battery life is really starting to excel. I've been listening to music all day with about 3 hours screen on time and 60% charge left, fantastic.

This phone grows on me by the hour; it is incredible. It is very satisfying knowing that there was only an £8 profit margin on the product I bought. Worth every penny and, to be honest, more. Now I just need to get myself a case that doesn't ruin the aesthetics.

I've seen these about very cheap from a UK seller and really struggling not to pull the trigger. Lack of an official or totally stable Lollipop version is holding me back right now. Nothing seems to be able to beat the N5 for that :(

Are you sure they are UK (rather than imported China 'versions'), as the price direct from OnePlus One is very competitive anyway, and they are actually despatched from a UK distribution centre.

The Lollipop update will definitely come, hopefully before Christmas, and of course has Cyanogen Mod behind it!

Hmmm... well seems to be UK, hard to tell I guess. What's the difference? Is the Chinese one the one with ColorOS on it and not Cyanogenmod?

That appears to be the main difference, yes... and of course they don't have the word 'Cyanogen' on the back of the phone.

If the seller is genuine, I would be wondering where he is getting his stock from, and what the position would be regarding support etc. should the phone be faulty or something.... and also how is he able to sell it cheaply, as there is virtually no 'margin' on them anyway.

Assuming you can get hold of an invite and order one directly from OnePlus One you should receive it in a couple of days, and mine had only been manufactured a couple of weeks or so earlier, so I know it was a current model.

Just my thoughts anyway! :)

OK, thanks mate. That clears up some of my thoughts. It's actually on Amazon and is "fulfilled by Amazon" so assuming it's a fairly safe bet regarding returns etc... although the question of where the stock is coming from is still there.

Didn't realise that OnePlus were shipping from the UK though, a couple of days is definitely better than waiting a few weeks from China which is what I assumed.

Just tripped over an invite for a 64gb OnePlus One and well.... would have been rude not to! Hopefully will be here soon but I need to sell my M8 or N5 really!

Pleased to hear that you gone for one via an invite!

I have just had a look at one on Amazon, and their lower price is for the 16GB (white) model, which has not yet been officially released in the UK.... and also the seller does appear to be based in China... even though orders are 'fulfilled by Amazon', and some customers do say that they received Asian models.

Anyway, I hope that yours arrives quickly... my guess is before the end of the week, and that you enjoy your new phone! :)

Yeah it seemed a bit dodgy even though it was fulfilled by Amazon. There was a thread about it on HUKD and someone posted four invites... the third wasn't taken so I went for it. A 64GB model straight from OPO is definitely worth the extra £17 :)

I went for standard shipping because someone somewhere said it wasn't worth paying for express as theirs still came in a few days, so here's hoping before the end of the week! :)

I have bought two from Amazon so I can give you some info :)

The phone provided is a Chinese model, flashed with CM firmware. The only differences are the lack of a Cyanogen logo on the back and different LTE bands: the Chinese model supports the 1800MHz band used by 4G LTE; not the 800MHz band.

However, the worldwide model doesn't support 800MHz LTE either; 2G/3G is fully supported.
