OnePlus One.

In hindsight maybe not, but I've never had a phone before that has started to pack in after 30 minutes of mild UK sunshine.

iphone 4s. using it as a satnav in the car in the spring/summer (not a particularly hot day i might add). packed up completely with a temperature warning :D

They say that if you don't ask, then you don't get ... so I will!

Does anyone have a spare invite for a Bamboo Style Swap Cover they will not be using please, by any chance?

Thanks! :)

Edit: Please ignore my request as, much to my surprise, I received one on the OnePlus Forum within 5 minutes... from a member in Cadiz, of all places! :)

Interesting you say that.

Over the last few days, as I've been off work, I have spent quite a bit of it sitting in beer gardens. I started to notice that the keyboard was spazzing out on me when I was typing texts; some of the characters didn't appear when the key was pressed, and at other times, tap-typing caused it to think I was trying to swipe and getting things horribly messed up.

The problem got worse, with the capacitive buttons not responding and even trying to pull the notification tray down was a struggle.

I didn't at first relate it to heat, but I did start to notice the phone generally behaved a bit better when it cooled and a reboot seemed to help, temporarily. I ended up flashing CM12 again thinking it was an OxygenOS issue, but the issue remained in CM12. I have now flashed the franco kernel and it has improved lots, but there are still times when it spazzes out seemingly at random.

When I was on stock CM11S, I always noticed the touch screen regularly failed to respond to the first touch.

I am starting to doubt the quality of the touch screen on this device. Shame really, as its spoiling an otherwise brilliant phone.

I've seen quite a few comments on forums saying that heat does indeed seem to screw up the touchscreen - and not just direct sunlight. It can be something as simple as keeping the phone in your pocket for an extended amount of time.

I'm about to send mine back for RMA (see my videos a few pages back), but on hindsight, I do think the problems were worse when the phone was given a chance to "warm up".

At this point I think I'm gonna Swappa the replacement immediately...

Same here, very disappointing. I saw one fairly in depth post attributing it to a grounding problem with a component touching the case, silly if it's something so simple.

Went to party last night and was i was very hot and had the OPO in my pocket. When I cam to use it touch screen wasnt functioning. Had to do a reboot.

My phone has become completely unusable throughout the course of today. Going to switch back to my HTC One and look into getting my money back...

No issues with mine in the heat of Tenerife. Used as sat nav etc too.
Concerning though if it is widespread. Will need further beer garden research :)
