OnePlus One.

Upto you mate, not sure any other phone out there right now is better thats the thing. The G3 has lag and overheating problems, S5 is touchwiz, and nothing special, HTC One M8 looks decent but camera, battery etc isnt too good and the OPO rinses everything in terms of benchmarks and spec. If you can put up with the banding which im still thinking about then keep it, i also sometimes think its faded then see it again, it may be auto brightness or getting used to it, ive asked people who didnt know about it to look at my screen and couldnt notice it until i told them which made me feel better.

If the hardware i.e screen fails they have no choice but to exchange, CyanogenMod are coming up with screen fixes and have fixed the phone call sound hopefully they can fix even more.

Ive got a response back, seems i can have a replacement or refund if i pay the postage to get it to them.. rather than use there pick up service.. hmm i sold my other phone yesterday gutted! if i can get my hands on another i may exchange and hope for the best.

That was a response about my yellow tint, i threatened with paypal and it did the trick lol.

Not heard about that, however if your screen doesnt work at all you will get a free exchange, i want a exchange to see if the banding isnt as bad. I can cope with every other issue but the yellow band is the only thing annoying me right now, i actually would rather have this than a G3 just without the band.

same bud

the multitouch isnt an issue (if it doesnt get worse)

the yellow band is

im going to try and get a pic of mine and the improvement

yes, certainly.

Thought so, weird that the youtube vid showing how its now fixes was shown in full bright mode.

People are saying the multi touch issue is when people are using a case, i dont use a case but that does kind of suck

Ive got a cheap gel case and never had the issue until i laid it flat on a cushion. For some reason i cant get it to do it again though.

I may ask for a replacement though its possible the new one could be the same or worse. They did tell you were you would have to return it to?

There are two ways to get your package to us:

1. We can send someone to pick your package. You will fill out the relevant forms - with help from us if necessary - prepare the package and hand it over to the courier, at which point we take over all responsibility.

thats all it said.

It looks like none of you have read the 1+ forum much. Mine was ok for the first few days
now it's playing up. For some of the people who had the problem now have a screen that won't work at all.
The same fault has been seen with other handsets and fixed with an update.
Cyanogen have it on their bug tracker too so it'll be resolved in due time.
Its arguable if its a hardware fault or a touch driver issue, but either way it doesn't matter. It can be fixed with software.

Pretty much every product on the market is full of bugs that software hides and works around. The OPO is no different.

They got the marketing spot on.
No one cares about he yellow band and multi touch issues

Hell if the phone crashed every 5mins people would still buy it lol

Nope. Some of us have took the back off(which is a royal pain) tried baking foil no good.. I did get earthing tape to work for a bit.

Another guy tried a metal back cover and still the same.

No that's number 55 on CMs git. That's for when you use the keyboard fast. I'm talking about the multi touch which is hardware.

My point stands.
Can be fixed with software. Just like the same issue on countless other handsets.
As said, hardware based faults are all over the place. Software tweaks in most cases can resolve it without the user even being aware its there.
Also, the thread you link backs this up.

Lets see what the next OTA brings as its runored to include a lot of bug fixes.
Its not all doom and gloom. ;-)

Just being using my OPO to try and kill the battery, and im specifically looking for multi touch issues. This is using it exclusively as I normally would (in hand).
Tried GTA3, typing, browsing, etc; no issues that I can see.
Tbh if the issue is limited to multi touch on a surface (& never fixed) , I'm happy with that.

It's a hardware problem 1+ has said so. If they bring out a new back cover or not to fix the problem I don't know.
Also software can't fix a earth problem I.E if I plug my usb cable in to the 1+ charger it works.

The next OTA can already be had in the CM nightlies of bacon.

Just had a play around with the G3,felt nice screen looks really good camera was a little better and brighter but I still miss the smoothness and tweaks like double tap wake from CyanogenMod and I'm not sure on G3 battery.

I'm not denying its a hardware fault. But just because it is doesn't mean that software can't mitigate the issue to the point where its not noticeable anymore.
If OP get to a point where they feel that this, arguably non-issue, can't be fixed with firmware tweaks, they'll probably do an apple and issue free back covers to resolve it.
The bigger issue, such as the ghosting, have already been confirmed as being resolved in the next OTA iirc.
