OnePlus One.

I have a feeling its not hardware so just wait and see you have 14days to return any how. Seems OPO have stopped sending invites to sort the back log of tickets out.

Next ota is less than 2 weeks it will be interesting to see what comes out of that for those who keep the phone to see.

I've got a feeling it's hardware, if so then I'll probably send mine back

Don't forget that if you send it back under the 14 day period you will have to pay the return delivery fee.
But if it's a hardware fault(which looks like it is) open a pay pal dispute and get all your cash back.

But lets hope you're one is a good one :)

OK so the girlfriend got a G3 yesterday and ive had a good few hours playing and comparing with my OPO its the 2GB ram version and its a really nice phone I've been thinking about swapping my OPO for one for a few days and now I think I'll stick with my OPO.

The things that the LG stood out on was the download speeds and the Camera. For some reason when I set the downloads off on both my OPO and G3 the G3 sucked all the WiFi and rinsed my OPO everytime. The camera is also far superior, very fast auto focus and the laser focus were really nice. The camera takes some awesome shots. The screen is also really nice and detailed and colours look really well as they do on the OPO. Another thing i preferred about it was the height of the phone it felt easier to use than my OPO but it still didn't feel as nice in the hand in comparison. I also liked the keyboard, and the ability to change the height of it to what you want and suits you. The ability to remove the battery and also add a SD card is also good and something I like the my devices.

Now the things I didn't like about the LG, first of I noticed lag the home screens and onscreen nav buttons had quiet abit of lag but most noticeably when scrolling the internet chrome to be exact it didn't feel as smooth it looked clunky at times. Another thing which could be changed with a case was that the phone feels very slippy maybe because I'm used to a sandstone back now.
Next up the battery life is certainly not on par with the OPOs battery albeit it chargers fairly quick but again not as fast as the OPO. However its battery is removable so that's a plus to the LG.
The speed of which is opened and closed apps, loaded YouTube videos or internet pages wasnt as fast as my OPO.
The screen which is amazing looks washed out because the brightness isn't anywhere near the OPOs level making the OPO screen actually look better minus the yellow band. The speakers which are stereo didn't sound as good as my OPOs mono speakers possibly because the volume wasn't quite as loud as the OPO.
I also did some benchmarks the LG came 6th with 31,246 score against my OPO rank 1st 38,456.
I forgot how bad bloatware were on a device having used my OPO the LG just like samsung devices are full of it, I also know that rooting devices could change things up but this was brand new and stock. The OS wasnt anywhere near as smooth and customizable as CyanogenMod which is nice without root. I also found the settings layout strange and not to my taste when using the LG.

TLDR
LG things better than OPO:
Download speeds
Camera, laser focus and excellent video recording
Keyboard
Higher res screen
SD card slot and removable battery
Height of the phone is easier

LG dislikes
Slippyness
Battery
Laggy OS and internet browsing
Low max brightness
Speakers
Settings layout is poor
Price

OPO things better than LG:
Customisability out of the box
Speed and smoothness of the OS and loading apps
Battery life
charging speeds
Brightness levels
Speakers
Benchmarks
No bloat ware
The feel in the hand is much nicer
Price

OPO dislikes
Yellow band
No OIS on the camera
Height isn't as easy to reach
Download speeds were inferior to the LG.
Ghost swipes
Vibration level should be customisable as its a little weak at times.

Also worth noting I've heard issues regarding the signal strength being weaker. So I did a few test both on Three UK and they were the exact same dBm. The signal icon isn't usually accurate

What's a good dBm?
Mine hovers around -90 on o2 network...Is that good or bad?
Also, one thing I dont like about the text icon is I can't see whether my data is H+/H/G :p

Interesting comparison with the G3 Quinnaay.

I've had a go with the HTC One M8 and have felt the Xperia Z2, the Z2 didn't feel right in my opinon.

The HTC One M8 is a very well built phone but for some reason I find it a bit meh, (think because everyone that I know has one) I prefer the older sense UI with the windscreen wipers on the weather widget (do you still get that :p)

well i should have kept my name on the list. for some crazy reason this morning i woke up to an email saying my card has been refunded. when i log on my order has been cancelled. wtf??

what a crock of poop.

Rule of thumb, dont ask to get your names taken off the list until you have actually ordered the phone...

i had ordered it.

it should be dont take your name off the list until you've got the phone in your hands.

I'll save an invite for you, if you don't get one soon.

thanks chap.

thinking of not even bothering now. really annoyed me it has.

might just wait until i get my invite from oneplus themselves (im member 80k ish) and decide then.

Did you pay with PayPal I heard about stuff like that on the forums. May also be because there not sending many out just yet again who knows.

90 dBm is decent it seems lower the number the better from what I've noticed. At my girlfriends both OPO and LG were 101 dBm.
