**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

yeah........... that was amazing :)

first i though game was over, ryung was out. then he pulled it back and i though there was no way stephano could win... etc etc they kept swapping. unbelievable.

probably in the top 5 best games i've ever watched. in fact probably one of the best series.

I wouldn't say it's that obvious Kamwah. Oz pwned stephano in their bo3.

Yeah Flickeh. I'd love to go watch stuff in person. Probably go to dreamhack sometime when I get a chance/spare money and gather some people to go with :)

Ye with little faith! Didn't notice Losira was there. He used to be so good like everyone on IM.

Alicia will definitely reach the finals and Taeja will probably be there too if he doesn't fall to an IM member.

There's always Barcrafts in London for every main event. They have a regular place now and it's quite big.

I just watched that series and it was amazing, especially game 3!

WCS Korean Preliminaries are going on today. First time Kespa players have openly played against GSL players in a tournament setting.

Flash just beat his first GSL player, SlayersBrown(Protoss) then he fell to MVPSniper(Zerg) 2-1

Nice :) can't wait until flash starts competing right at the top. I love how clean his play is

Flash Micro > Everyone elses

XD

A few other Kespa players beat GSL ones today. Best beat Inca and I'm sure there were other upsets. No Kespa players have qualified for WCS yet though and I'm doubting they will.

Just to add. Brood Lord + Corrupter is completely broken. You can't use Vikings cos they die too fast to Corrupters, you can't use Thors cos they die to the BL in less than 3 seconds, can't use PDD because the energy doesn't last long enough and is pointless, can't use HSM because they can suddenly switch into this composition due to how their completely balanced production works. Only thing that works is hope for a nuke to hit if you're going bio.

I'm skeptical that it's MKP. He didn't play like 3CC no gas into double ebay greedy so it must not be MKP! XD

People in chat are saying it's not and that it may be Maru or Byun.

Taeja vs Alicia finals.

Losira will beat First and go back to face Taeja in his bracket's finals.

It could go either way in the grand finals but my earlier bets on who'd win will be correct XD

EDIT:

I may have made a mistake. First actually beating Losira :o and First has been raping Terrans left and right. I still think there's a good chance for Taeja vs Alicia finals.

not looking good for alicia :)

e: nvm.

Why do you doubt me Sheep? XD
Now watch Taeja advance to the finals and finally my prophecy shall be come to fruition!

PvP really is spectacularly dull.

While PvP is dull it's changed a lot in the past few months like the whole metagame of SC2 =/
It's pretty boring when both of you have the AoE to take out half the opponents army instantly so it's just a jack off fest of dodging.

Edit: GG sheep =P Told you so! :)

I agree, at least 4 gating seems to be a little rarer these days. I think the reliance on AoE + the lack of mobility is what makes PvP seem so slow in comparison to other match ups.

I mean even TvT which tends to be basically very slowly moving tank lines against other very slowly moving tank lines is shaken up by drops.

fair enough, nicely predicted Kamwah :)

taeja played great. alicia was just outclassed completely.

PvP was more interesting when it was 4-gate vs 4-gate tbh, at least then there was some micro. now it's just tech to colossus and mass them up

I don't make money knowing this for no reasons =P Esports betting ftw.

Im a very casual Zerg player looking to practice and improve my micro skills, are there any mods anyone would recommend to help with that?

I seem to lose a lot of engagements I feel I should win (I think my unit comps arent too bad).

Check out videos from people like Day 9, Apollo or just search youtube there are many zerg help videos for everything such as unit control and comp. There are also many great guides on the TL forums. There are no mods I would recommend, there is a program that reminds you when to inject but I wouldn't recommend getting used to that. Post up a replay of your play and we can tell you how to improve.

I did watch Apollos Zerg Bronze to Platinum series, which was very enjoyable. He did seem to focus on macro a lot, and unit selection (was great) but not a lot on micro which is where I feel I really need to improve.

Any youtube vids you would recommend on unit control?

Ive been doing mainly 3v3s to get used to the game before delving into 1v1s, so I dont have any replays to post unfortunately.
