The comment at the end made me lol :D.

:D made me laugh as well.

Also a zvp yesterday against someone that was not happy losing, raged at me afterwards for quite a while before blocking me ^^.

That was hilarious. Beginning, middle and end had me in stitches. :D

and I thought i was bad...

EDIT: just had a closer look at your opponent's view on that final battle, still can't quite figure out why it went so wrong.

I'm climbing up my bronze league nicely as Zerg - had 6 wins in a row last night. The main problem I'm having is mid-game - I either seem to win quickly or run out of direction and sit there not knowing what to do next. This is particularly a problem when I play Terran as they always seem to just wall off and turtle - I throw a decent army at them, they repel it, then I'm like "errr, OK, now what" :o

I find it much easier to play against P - I do better with a back-and-forth, counter attacking type of game, which I find P usually is. A turtling T player just leaves me strangely confused.

Any tips for a noob on how to transition to mid-game v Terran if I don't get the early win?

a turtle T is a dirty T lol. My advice just drone up and get more hatches + a macro hatch to boot. you should also creep spread as much as you can which will give you great vision. providing you are regularly injecting of course.

I would then try and banelling bust him a few time/muta harrass whilst teching/upgrading yourself.
as soon as he comes out of turtle heaven you can destroy him easily as you will have more money, vision, upgrades and a decent army that can be replaced in seconds.

Aye. If you find yourself running out of direction very early, try to get a few checkpoints you want by certain times. E.g. as protoss against terran, I might decide my first checkpoint after my revised build order finishes is 2 bases, collosus with range and blink stalkers or something like that. Next checkpoint is double forge upgrading armour and attack, 3 bases with high templar and storm and zealot charge with at least 8 gateways
etc... Obviously, you don't have to follow this kind of thing religiously and you need to adapt to the game, but it helps you not get to 25 minutes in the game and think "darn, I should've got those upgrades 15 minutes ago"

In bronze league still.... just played vs terran... in ******MaSteRs Leaguee**** wtf?
lost to marine scv all in.... with proxy barracks :P

Bronze vs Masters and i lost 9 points for the loss aswell lol

is'nt like bronze -> silver> gold> plat-> diamond -> masters???

there a 5 league gap omg!

Possibly could have been his placement game? my placement game was vs a gold player and I ended up in diamond.

DeMusliM has dropped out of DreamHack :(

quite gutted about that, wonder why though :/

I saw a video of him at MLG saying that he had recently broken his arm (and showing off a rather large scar), maybe this has something to do with it?

Yep it's a shame there aren't more UK pro players really, with any luck we should see some more in future.

Dreamhack starts tomorrow doesn't it?

There are some really good ones that aren't really getting the recognition.. Apollo is really good and a nice bloke. some of the guys on here met him at the UK/IRE Tournament we went too. some of us managed top 32.. even though there were some Swedish representation, and Dutch :/

But yeah.. more UK Pros would be really nice.. problem is, its difficult to get into because you need to be playing it all the time, and most people in the UK need to get a job to actually live :p

Yep it starts tomorrow :)

OK, so people normally moan about how Zerg are the underdogs, but since Spanishiwa shown us how to use Nydus Worms and Brood Lords, I sort of feel like Terran and Protoss are now very much inferior!

Does anybody else feel this?

I dont think it's that simple. People using infestors more is giving more variety and strength to zerg armies, as you mention nydus worms and brood lords are being used more, giving simply beefier armies for the zerg. It seems there's been a bit of a bandwagon to jump on, that as soon as someone (Idra) talks about having trouble with a certain matchup his words are taken as gospel and suddenly zerg has no chance for any player ever.

Equally though, I dont think terran or protoss are inferior at this point. Perhaps the most one could say is that top players havent all necessarily adapted fully to the changes in the zerg style.

In general, more Protoss players need to think beyond the deathball mentality and Terrans need to tech beyond T2. No race is at its peak I believe, and as each set of strategies continues to evolve the other races will be forced to evolve theirs as well. Unfortunately this does often lead to one being called imbalanced as soon as one set of strategies becomes more difficult in general to pull off or defend against, but that seems to be the nature of the community.

(Seriously though: infestors are insane :D)

What's the best way to survive in the early game as Protoss? I'm starting to get two gateways and a reasonable number of zealots while trying to save my gas for the more expensive advanced units like colossi and void ray/carriers, though against Terran I'm starting to get stalkers out earlier so I can actually hit marines before I have charge researched. Is it just a case of build more units?
