Oscar Pistorius thread

These are the areas I find interesting:

1) Defence say, her bladder was empty, in keeping with someone who had been to the toilet. However, when you die, you pee and poo your pants anyway.

2) Irrespective of who was behind the door, he went there with a gun, and the intention to fire it, therefore, he's guilty of something, and it isn't self defence.

It's hilarious some people here believe him.

I wouldn't say I believe him but I believe his story is certainly plausible. It's 'hilarious' that some people here have declared him guilty. There is no evidence so far to say so.

so who here if they heard a burglar would go looking for them in the pitch black dark without first making sure their loved ones where ok ? not me

What do you mean make sure they are okay? If you think they are sleeping in the bed you just got out of then it's fair to say that you'd already think they are okay. To go looking for the burglar would be to ensure that they remain okay.

To assume makes an 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me'

Or in this case, a dead woman.

Correct. To assume he is guilty makes an ass out of u and me.

Theres a history of domestic violence at the address so the police say - arguments etc.

IF neighbours/witnesses (more than 1 and credible) can confirm noise, shouting between man and woman voice then i call it a rage killing by him. I think he very much regrets it now and the tears are probably genuine.

Think the woman who says she heard summit was 200+ metres away so couldn't really have heard much at all.
Makes me laugh when the Dude is only in court for a bail hearing but he has already been convicted by most of the World.
It also makes me laugh when people from this country compare here with over there as if the situation would be the same.

No matter what I think now I'll wait to hear the evidence in the Actual trial & then I'll make a judgement myself.

That's true, but not what you said ;)

It's also not really as big an achievement, being the first 'double amputee' compared to first amputee.

kd

I think him being the first to compete in both in Athletics which is often the main focus of the Olympics and Paralympics leads to the confusion too.

I think it's still a massive achievement, for any event, the Olympics is the pinnicle of those sports and to be able to compete with a handicap of any kind is amazing.

Im sure it was originally 600m away rhat she heard shouting (lol). Then once the defense ripped the 600m to shreds it was later revised by the prosecution down to 300m in the afternoon hearing.

600m, 300m, whatever. Whilst they may have been able to hear something (which I doubt, unless windows were open), how can they be sure it was coming from Oscars house? They would have been other houses in-between the witness house, and Oscars.

I'd be surprised if he's found not guilty and apologies if this point has already been made, but I just don't see how it could ever be reasonable to hear noise in your bathroom and open fire on the assumption it's a burglar, even in SA. Maybe if you heard noises downstairs of someone sneaking around, going through valuables etc you might make that assumption, but in a bathroom with the door closed? Why would a burglar trap himself like that? It seems like a very strange assumption to me but I'm sure there are other aspects I'm not aware of.

Cant believe his coach saying I hope he is back training next week! Cretin.

For one, it's his Coaches job and he has been training him for nine years, since he was a teenager.

Before Court today he told a Journalist how getting him back on track would be good for him. Personally, I don't see how anyone can really argue with that. If he is granted bail, the only thing he has which can try and take his mind of what has happened and what may happen in the future, is to carry on focusing on training, as its a goal. If he was just to sit around at home all day, possibly in his house where Reeva died, he is only going to make his mind state far worse.

Sorry, your right. The poor bloke, maybe a few massages as well to help soothe his soul.
