Oscar Pistorius thread

The key piece of evidence to me is that forensics revealed she had just taken a pee in the toilet prior to being shot.... I honestly don't believe that if it was an argument and she was hiding from an enraged Oscar this would have been the case.... I know when people are scared they are often said to be 'p****** themselves but in this case it does sound like she just got up to go for a slash.

My friend lives in the same gated community but moved in after the events. They've since had a meal with the family that "overheard". Apparently someone knocked on Oscars door to see if he was ok and initially he was like "yeah fine" then moments later he called security and made a big song and dance. Pretty sure he is guilty
 
Valentines day heated argument, he blows her away in some kind of jealous anger then instantly regrets it.

I seriously doubt it was premeditated but the gun nut should be locked away for a long time.
 
Being sent for psychiatric evaluation by the state. So 3 different defences and the latest one may well come back and bite him on the arse since it won't be a defence paid for shrink evaluating him.

Mr Nel said that the disorder diagnosis left him with no choice but to apply for an evaluation because the condition might have affected Mr Pistorius' behaviour on the night he killed Ms Steenkamp.

Legal experts say that the case may well hinge on the judge's understanding of the athlete's state of mind when he pulled the trigger.

They say the prosecution is keen to show that the defence keeps changing its reasons why Mr Pistorius fired his gun - from putative self-defence, to accidental shooting, and now to something linked to his anxiety disorder.

Isn't Merryll Vorster a defence witness? Why have they brought her in, only to oppose the mental evaluation? Bad judgement?
 
The evaluation was ordered as a result of MV's testimony. It has been suggested that the defence team's idea was possibly to use MV's GAD diagnosis in mitigation. It may have backfired now, though.
 
Always knew he was a loony. Should be locked up for the rest of his life as clearly he will be far too dangerous to be allowed to just walk around on the loose.
 
This is the get out!

He will be found to be suffering from a mental condition and will be detained indefinitely until a high court judge rules him safe to be released.

2 years down the line (or less) he will have made a miraculous recovery and walks free. Everyone's a winner.
