Overclockers UK Grand Opening!! Saturday 10th November

TBH, I have no idea what the customer base is like. For all we know 10 blokes in anoraks will show up and it'll be really quiet. This isn't the new iPhone after all, it's a PC component shop most people have never heard of in the ******** of nowhere. Then we'd feel very silly indeed.

You've not been in the shop a normal Saturday then, let alone the Grand Opening.
Should be a fun day though.

would love a monitor but distance is just a bit too far. would also like to see the layout and talk to the staff.

Enjoy the opening day folks

The old place was a nightmare on a Saturday, I went in clean shaven and came out sporting a beard.

Been the new place a couple of times and will look great when done, although it's looking like an Apple store rip off haha.

Anyway i'm on my way up in a couple of hours pic my new mouse mat up. Will pop up Saturday see whats going on, geek heaven!

At Imex at Fenton, yes fair enough. But at High Carr and here, things are far better.
At the new shop however, we've solved the primary cause of longer queue's by having a dedicated support counter. This reduces delays for customers in the shop massively.

Must admit, this is right, Fenton was always busy when I went, High Carr is definitely out of town, non retail site and usually one or two people in but never crowded in my experience.

Saturday will be busy, no doubt at all, also with Morrisons nearby there could be more of a passing trade.

In general the time waiting at our High Carr and New shop is much less than it ever was at Fenton, so you don't get so many people stood around waiting. It's generally muc, much quicker. And having the dedicated support counter will help that even further. It's really great for customers.

We do deals all the time, and this is the first time we have done in store deals, I am sure there will be more when we do more shop events in the future. However, the good deals will go quick and everyone needs to understand that. :)

We ship all over the world, we have one store in this world, and yes majority of our customers online will not be near our store which is why they order online. We have never done in store deals before, but when I have seen other stores with amazing deals they do sell out fast and it is first come first serve basis. So this is the same as most other places.

I think people understand this concept and it is very good of Ocuk to offer these deals out to the public.

What I disagree with is not giving any idea of stock levels of said items out, the levels are available on the website so why can't you just publish them to give people an idea (even if its only 1 item per customer). Say for example you have only 15 x 7970's to sell at that price with 300 people wanting one, means a lot of disappointed customers.

I understand the more people through the door, the more money is made etc, but its almost teasing in a way and would be a little fairer if people actually knew the potential chances of walking away with one of these deals.

I live in Norfolk so there's no hope I will ever be traveling down unless stock quantity was published and a there was a decent hope of getting something I wanted, made available to loyal forum members and publish the actual stock available for this event.
