Overwatch

Ha ha. We have been on an odd losing streak... :( Most games quite close, but us ending up on the wrong side of things.

Yeah I think we started getting it together in the end with me on monkey and you soldier. Seemed to get some good team work going and start rolling some teams.

Im not used to playing with soldiers so it was hard trying to find something that works. My to mains were not brig and lucio were just not teaming up well with soldier.

I think next time we play it should be easier.

It's nice to just team with some good people and have some banter, without worrying about SR... don't get me wrong though, I wanna win! I also think we didn't find maximum synergy, but a couple of the matches we had real useless players in the other two slots, and a couple of games the other team had a single really good player that made life hard (like Pharah on Eichenwalde).

Been trying out Lucio in QP a lot over the last few days.....he's good fun and does a good amount of healing/damage etc.....Not really got a great handle on the "boops" yet - still working in progress but he's fun to play.

They changed the boop earlier this year and it no longer uses ammo so you can just mash it out everytime it's ready.

It only has 4 second cool down so just abuse it keep constantly booping people away.

With lucio you want to stay near your team but jump around as much as possible to stay alive and distract the enemy.

Speed boost is great for getting your tanks on point and helping chase down the people off point. (you may have to leave point lol)

Normally you want to save your ult for when enemy uses their nano blade.

yeah - nano and grav for the ulti - I like him - he's fun to play.....might use him more next season.

You can make a real difference with lucio, he can make stuff happen on attack and save the game on defense.

He is fairly easy to play once you get the hang of him, I mainly just jump about and spam chokes to build ult.

He took me a couple of seasons to learn but well worth it.

So it's not effective to boop towards the floor to push them back further? Always thought it was! I enjoy playing Lucio might try him a bit more in QP before trying him in comp

Boop them when they are moving in the direction you want them to travel. They'll go much further than if they are stationary or already moving in the opposite direction.

As musty and booyaka are starting to play some lucio I thought I would take some clips last night to show how I would normally use the ult to take/save point.

Speed boost/turn it up/drop the beat and then rush in.

Yeah as Distracted said the main thing that effects the boop distance is what direction the other person is pressing as it hits. If they are pulling away form you they go a long way if they are not pressing anything they go medium and if they are pushing towards you they don't far at all.

I would look upwards if im tyring to push rein over a wall that's about it.

That one last night on rein was just lucky, obviously I wasn't actually aiming to get him off there.
