Getting the same. I normally bounce back to where I was, then hit a run of defeats again. I don't know what else I can do to stop it.

On another note, me and DrToffnar had an amazing game earlier. We had a player leave in round 1 of Kings Row and the video is of our teams gallant effort to beat adversity and claim the spoils.

I'm in the same situation. Placed at 2292, went up to 2337 at one point, and now I'm down at 2055 after an endless string of defeats. Some of which, I might have done better in, but most I honestly couldn't think of anything I could have done differently. My cries of "don't trickle in" falling on completely deaf ears.

I think it's more stress than it's worth tbh, I think I should quit and go back to quickplay. I play a lot of Mercy and Zen, so of course I often get teammates who blame me when they fail. Even though I know they're full of ****, it still damages my calm. And unfortunately, for every game where I get paired up with cool upbeat helpful people, there are ten with people posting toxic stuff in chat.

Aha yes mate! That was truly one of THE MOST exhilarating games I've played. You always know you've got a good healer when you forget they're there ;P

Also, props for using your pistol during the healing down time! So many Mercys seem to forget they've got it.
 
i did my placements on ps4 first. 4 wins off the bat, going really well with zarya. lots of golds. then we started getting really tough opponents and lost a few close ones.
Did the final 3 tonight and got pair with absolute ****e players who all jumped straight onto DPS and could not get kills. We actually lost 2 games where we were 6v5. That'd never happen on PC.

Managed to win 1 more so it ended up 5w/5l and SR 2559. That'll do for some comp currency at the end of the season, now it's time to focus on PC again.
 
Solo queue was so frustrating that I now tend to invite other players that stood out and used voice comms.

Last night joined 1 guy who mains Reaper and Lucio (has gold weapons for both) and then we played well and won some more games, then two other guys asked us to join their 2 man group, so ended up in a 4 man group and went on a winning streak.

Up to 2300ish
 
Think I played 4 last night, won 1, lost 3. Even the win was unpleasant. The points seem broken again. Our win was strange, 4 gold/2 plat vs a full team of Platinum. We won and 3 of us in a party realised we got a trickle of points for that win.

Lost the next 3 games and even with the teams apparently even, we lost more than double the points we got for a win on each game :|

Also very similar to someone who posted above. I've been scoring multiple golds per game :/ I am adapting my pick to what the team needs and what the enemy are throwing at us. I don't know what else to do at this point. Have they completely screwed the rankings again with too many people all stuck in gold who shouldn't be there?

Also when the enemy lineup has a core of Rein/Zaraya/Zen/Lucio with a reaper/secondary DPS in the back lines. This is disgusting to try and stop :(

To an extent, yeah. You still get paired with gold but they tend to have a higher rank.

People seem to appreciate that not everyone can be everywhere at once eg. wont blame healer for not being on them CONSTANTLY and the like. A little more dignified in the loosing perhaps, but you still get the odd salty **** who blames everyone but himself with his 4 bronze medals.

If you are about this evening I shall be playing some again. Another mate finished his placing last night so may have 3 man group if you are up for it. May help get things done some what.

Yeah man the more the merrier. Gonna have to try get our mics working as well. SOOOOO useful for all the obvious reasons.
 
Voice comms make all the difference.

As Lucio I tend to be behind the Tanks and DPS, and can often call out over the comms when a Reaper is about to drop in and ult or somebody else is flanking.

Yep, absolutely necessary. You can be the best carry in the world but if there's no communication you're still going to get countered.

Of course, you are more than welcome. Whilst I don't know the issue with my mic in game (could be they don't understand my strong valleys accent). My mic works perfectly in teamspeak, so you are both welcome to jump on there. Then at least we will be able to have some communication. I will pass the details over when I get home if you wish to use it.
 
Finished my placements last night (6-4), placed about 2150, managed to get myself up to around 2300 with a some wins.

Overall, I've enjoyed it more compared to last season, people seem to be picking sensibly. I managed to click with Zarya, despite never really playing with her before. Only picked it up because someone said that we needed her, and I thought 'why not?'.
